Rudy Gay deserves a Nod. Hopefully he can stay healthy (or get there w/ his current hip/hamstring) and have a very productive year.

It'd be a damn shame if he doesn't get in. Especially out in the West? Where Durant is the only dominant SF?

20 & 6 for the past 4-5 years should be able to get you into at least ONE All-Star game.

Yeah, but we're now voting for 3 frontcourt guys. There's at least 6 frontcourt spots, and than the 11th and 12th selection, which could both be frontcourt guys, though I think at least one will be a PG. West is stacked with them. Can Rudy really make it past:

        Blake Griffin
        LaMarcus Aldridge
        DeMarcus Cousins
        Dwight Howard
        Kevin Durant
        Al Jefferson

Maybe even Randolph is he reverts to his 2010-11 form, David Lee, Paul Millsap...sorry to be a downer.

Woah there. Chandler, Marc Gasol, Hibbert, and Cousins are all better.

am i crazy for saying Kevin Martin ? He's been putting up somewhat allstar-like numbers as far as Scoring, but he's always been overlooked because he's never been on a winning team.
Now he's playing alongside Russel Westbrook and Kevin Durant so now the casual fans will have a chance to see him.

Kevin Martin will start for OKC btw, because OKC now has a bench that can produce (Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb, Eric Maynor)

I believe James Harden is gonna peak his beard into the ASG this year. He's the go to guy now and someone has to score, right?

Barring injuries I don't see it happening. I posted it about another guard in the west but if you look at it you got Kobe, Paul, and Westbrook as locks. Then you have Nash, Parker, and Manu. So barring injuries you have maybe one spot to go to guys like Harden, Gordon, Lawson, and others. I just don't see any first time guards making it this year unless there are injuries or their team jumps to near the top of the standings.

The Beard's only real competition to get in to the ASG in my eyes may be Tony Parker.

I know Kobe, CP3, and Russ are locks for sure, but after that Harden has a real fair chance.

Manu seems to build up to many injuries as of late to really give the coaches a strong argument to select him nowadays.

Nash numbers are not going to be like they were when he was the number 1 or 2 guy in Phoenix. He's the 3rd/4th option in LA and not saying he couldn't make it as Detroit was able to get their 1-4 options (though Tayshaun was somehow left off each year ), but it will be tough.

Tony Parker gives James the best fight since he's THE guy now in SA. Both Tony and Harden pretty much are the motors for their team. Maybe Tony gets it over Harden this year, but by next year I believe one of those guard spots will be reserved for the Beard for multiple years to come.

Guys I think might/can/may make it to the ASG.

                                East
                                Josh Smith
                                Monta Ellis/Brandon Jennings
                                Kyrie Irving

                                West
James Harden (if this is his breakout season)
                                Demarcus Cousins
Rudy Gay (Iguodala did it so why not?)
