Re: Mike Brown Fired Per ESPN
As a neutral I think the timing was a bit odd but then again so was the hire and cutting your losses now is better than watching this fiasco play out all year IMO. Whoever comes on-board will have enough time to put their offensive blueprint in and have the players comfortable by the playoffs.
Did they fire Eddie Jordan too? He's the architect behind that crappy offense (I know first-hand as a Wizards fan)

Re: Mike Brown Fired Per ESPN
You didnt respond to the post and as far as I know YOU were the first one to rush in like Captain Amercia to defend against anything percieved anti laker...AGAIN
I've seen you do this before with others too then claim innocence, so now I know I shouldn't expect anything else out of you but this for my observations
Still doesnt change my post that Im starting to believe Phil is an opportunist and thats not something i'd want to root for regardless of how you feel.
very very few coaches who help rebuild a team are still there when that team becomes a serious championship contender. so i dont blame the guy. why go through that when u dont have to.
now as for the Brown, i didnt like his hiring in the first place but i think he was canned to early. at least give the guy a month to see what he can get out of this team. he had the starting line up for what, 2 and a half games counting the pre-season?
oh well, thats life. if we can get Phil back then its a win-win and the firing is justified.
Brown is a nice guy and all but he just a Defensive Coach. even last year, we were never a good consistent offense. i dont think he will be getting a head coaching job anytime soon."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
yea but will they take psn cards

if u mean that as in he only is willing to coach a team that has a shot at the championship then yes. he has been that way since he left the Bulls.

Man Phil needs to stop with these leaving the team and coming back. I hope he doesn't come back. I also find it extremely funny that someone here is talking about being unbiased. When this guy is essentially the biggest homer on the forums LOLComment

Re: Mike Brown Fired Per ESPN
So "sources" say Phil is looking to bend the Lakers over with a salary in line with what he was previously making with the Lakers, travel restrictions on road games to limit the number he has to attend and significantly more say in all basketball decisions. Cool story Phil.Comment

Re: Mike Brown Fired Per ESPN
He'll get it. Salary doesn't mean anything to la, they can pay it, say in basketball decisions won't be a problem if this is Dr. Buss's call instead of Jim Buss's, like I've heard. They were talking on the radio with a reporter here in LA, and they don't think any of that will be a problem.
Hell, just get an iPad and stream Phil to road games!Comment

But hey..it's LA. They believe in plug & play. They don't think you have to work for it. Just plug in pieces and wind em up.
This is going to be fun to watch.
Any other city or team and we'd be calling them out.
I wonder who'll travel more this season...Phil Jax or Royce White. SMH@ Phil coaching games from Skype.
So when Nash is getting ate up all year by opposing PGs and Dwight's back possibly becomes a recurring issue as most backs do...who are they going to point the finger at then?
Get ya money Phil. Screw your legacy. Get paid. I got my popcorn ready.Comment

Re: Mike Brown Fired Per ESPN
Who is "they" and what was said by whom (that's actually associated with the Lakers) to make you actually believe such a silly notion?
Players, management, coaching staff or otherwise, I seriously doubt a single one of those mentioned believe they don't have to work for it.Comment
