Re: Best basketball players you've played against?
Can't say I've 'played' ball against anyone of note, however, one of my friends, John Clark, plays professionally in Europe. I've played with him, but nothing serious.
I had a 'dunk session' with Tashard Choice who is currently RB for the Buffalo Bills. While at Georgia Tech, he was in town for a charity event with some teammates. I was at the hoops by my house dunking around and they all came to the court and followed suit. The kids got really excited to see us just dunking--it was an awesome experience. Being as brolic as he is, everytime he would dunk the whole support system rattled for like a minute afterwards.
I also dunked around with James Petway, formerly of Michigan--well, i mostly watched. He was home from NBD Camp with the Spurs, but I'm not sure where he's at now. I've never seen someone dunk like him. He jumped equally as high off of either foot or both, and dunked with authority with either hand. I remember her got to the gym--he knew my friend and met us there--and realized he forgot his sneakers! Had to go home to get them.***1971-72 ABA Roster 2K12 360***

Re: Best basketball players you've played against?
In 1996, I worked at the Olympics. I was in charge of transportation at the basketball training site - which was just a high school gym in Atlanta. All of the teams, well other than Dream Team II, came there to practice. Kukoc and Divac were probably the most famous. Played HORSE (and lost badly) with Kukoc.Comment

Re: Best basketball players you've played against?
Saw Jeremy Lin and Ron Artest play at the UCLA open gym on separate years. My team was always waiting to play but never got to play them. Even when they were only playing at like 40% speed they were effortlessly better than everybody. I've played against some UCLA players before.Comment

Re: Best basketball players you've played against?
Nice post. If you regularly play pickup basketball, then you can immediately recognize a certain kind of player.Such as
1)Dude who think he is a guard
2)You have need to choose fake baller. This guy looks the part and has a sinewy and strong body.
3) Pickup ballers who don't have a particular specialty, but they can do a little bit of everything.

Re: Best basketball players you've played against?
A guy at my high school. I think he is training with KK Cibona where Dario Šarić is playing currently. Anyway, he is two-three inches taller than me and since I'm all hustle because I have little to no athleticism and bad shot I only score on floaters and layups.. Dude was raining from 25 feet in my face, post up, step-backs, dude had everything.. It was like playing against Kobe. I was getting rebounds and 50-50 balls but when he put the ball on the floor.. I was dead meat. I mean, I can play D but he was unstoppable. Me and my 2 friends lost 21-7. to him and his two classmates. It was awful but expirience I learned something from. I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SHOOT THREESComment

Re: Best basketball players you've played against?
Played against Quincy Roberts (who last season was the 3rd most leading scorer in the NCAA while attending Grambling). Guys would triple team him and he would still score. It was surreal. The man was unguardable.
Played against J-Boy. A local kid in Ruston who's had a scholarship (full ride and everything) to Louisiana Tech to play basketball since he was a sophomore. The dude's built like Lebron (despite standing at 6'4, though he may have grown a couple inches since then). Plays like him to. He just barrels into the lane and dudes move the hell out the way since they don't wanna get dunked on.Comment
