    Dantheman9758 has loads of awesome videos. I would also recommend 'Loose Balls' it is a terrific book. I like the early 70's because there was the ABA and the NBA, and then you had professionals from both leagues playing in highly competitive games at the Rucker Park. Though the stories of the street legends--as well as pros--in those games may be exaggerated, it's still credible because, the pro players have been quoted as anticipating playing there.

      The league was so down due to the rampant drugs and apathy, that they didn't even show playoffs live.

      I remember watching playoff games with my big brother at 10:30 at night, TAPE DELAYED after the news.

      I know it's fashionable to call Stern names and talk smack about him, but he took the marketing boost of Magic and Bird, and transformed the league into what we love so much today.

      Thanks to Stern these guys are making gazillions of dollars.
