Re: 11/26 - 12/2 Game Discussion Thread
I don't think too many coaches can even get away with doing it anymore. They have to walk on eggshells now for fear of being fired. Pop & Doc might be the only one only because they are so established, but let one of these younger coaches try to pull a Bobby Knight....lolComment

I didn't know that. It's not like that in sports here in europe. Coachs yell at their players all the time and it's nothing special.
I also remember Phil Jackson punching gasol in the chest while yelling at him for beeing soft in 2010 - 2011's playoffs. But I guess he was Phil Jackson.

Re: 11/26 - 12/2 Game Discussion Thread
I think its using the article to try to pump up him being a great leader because he yelled at them and they won a game
Or at least thats how it started..
Honestly this isnt even article worthy to be honest with you... I'm pretty sure it happens in sports all the freaking time, baseball, basketball, hockey, football especially on all levels, high school to the pros etc..Comment

Re: 11/26 - 12/2 Game Discussion Thread
Okay I see I wasn't exactly clear in my point. I don't have a problem with the leader of a team yelling at guys. Jordan did it all the time. My problem is with part of the damn problem in the first place yelling at the other guys about the team losing and that's the difference between Kobe and Mike. I have no question Kobe goes out there and gives it his all (obviously except when he's not getting his way, see circa 2005-2007) and he wants other guys to do so as well. However I take issue with articles pumping up Kobe's awesome leadership and dedication to winning because he's yelling about guys for losing and he's apart of the problem and the articles say nothing about that giant glaring fact.Comment

Ya'll made it bigger than what it should've been.
All I said when I posted that was "When Bean yells, it's serious business". Honestly, if you remove Bean and put Melo or Lebron or Dirk or Deron or CP3, the point still remains. When they yell, it's serious business.
But I don't see one sentence in there pumping up Kobe at all. I know some of ya'll may dislike the man but damn.
Damn Lebron, why'd you have to go and win a ring last year?#RespectTheCultureComment

Seriously, how the hell did Kobe reach the status where he could be such a bitch and nobody calls him on it? Where he can 'get mad and lay down the law' on the team and call the guys out and it's reported like the triumphant leader Kobe getting his guys ready and all this other crap and he's one of the main reasons why they've played the way they have.Okay I see I wasn't exactly clear in my point. Re: 11/26 - 12/2 Game Discussion Thread
Not even talking about you Pack. Just look at the title of the article. "Kobe Bryant's Rant is Followed by a Romp over Nuggets" Get the whole hell out of here with that noise. Then the byline "Laker's star has tirade at practice Thursday. Then bench contributes in a big way to 122-103 victory over Denver." Not even about hating Kobe at that point.
Pay it no mind. Works everytime.#RespectTheCultureComment

On another note, here's something I threw together earlier for the Grizzlies since they aren't getting any pub anywhere else.

Nets are shooting well and getting the benefit of some calls out there, but I'd be surprised if they're able to sustain this for the entire game especially against this team.#RespectTheCultureComment

Joakim is definitely the best passing big in the league imo. Was an awesome find just now to Deng cutting to the basket.Comment

This has the feeling of one of those games where LeBron goes into absolute take over mode as the game goes on. Hitting ridiculous 3's and finishing all types of and-1's to bring the Heat back and lead to a victory.
Sorry pack. :oLast edited by TMagic; 12-01-2012, 09:38 PM.Comment
