Can't believe he got thrown out for that.

I'm still really pissed about this. A technical for yelling ball don't lie? Seriously? Wtf kind of crap is that?

Should guys now get called for techs for saying "aw man!" Or "come on!"

      Absolutely ridiculous.

Lets also consider that the first tech was garbage too. They originally gave him a tech for blocking a shot after the foul was called.

LOL. Just whatever with these refs.

Absolutely. He was just finishing the play.

          Whole sequence was just garbage.

They actually did used to do that, until it got changed up recently if I'm not mistaken.

Isn't this like the 2nd time this year he's gotten T'd up for that though? I wasn't surprised since Stern doesn't like his Refs being shown up, especially since they just T'd up Beasley for tossing his headband in frustration of a bad pass HE made and not arguing a bad call.

Well the Beasley thing was for throwing something into the stands. That's an auto tech.

And yeah they made that rule last year about techs being called for showing any frustration. Yet I've seen guys throw their hands in the air and nothing has happened.

Which brings us back to the consistency factor with the refs. If they called techs like they should, I wouldn't be upset. Since they haven't, I see it as if they just have a quick trigger because he's Rasheed Wallace.

Sheed didn't want to be out there today.

That one ref overreacted on both techs. But Sheed wouldn't shut up. I'm not talking about yelling Ball Don't Lie which he just screamed into the air.

Agreed but man it's not easy. When you get whistled for techs for finishing a play and yelling ball don't lie, I think any person has the right to ask the refs if they were partying in NYC last night.

I agree. The 2nd tech should be rescinded.

But Sheed had other plans today. That much is clear to me.

This is going to sound crazy.

But I hope Amare is watching the type of game that Chris Copeland is playing out there. That's what we need to see from him when he returns.

Sheed also has to be smarter in this situation, especially knowing his reputation with him and the Officials.

                              Does Copeland play the 3?

Maybe he's hustled in the games you watched him?

I read your post and was thinking "who?". I looked him up and he's averaging 3.2 points & 0.4 boards a game this season.

What exactly is this guy doing that Amar'e needs to emulate?

                              Honest question btw.

Copeland's a 3/4 tweener a little bit. But he came in for Sheed and in the 10 minutes he was on the court he had 8 points, 3 rebs, 2 asts, 1 stl, 1 blk. Wasn't rushing or forcing anything and was impacting the game on both ends.

But no, he doesn't get in much and usually only plays in garbage time. CMH was more referring to what he was doing during that spurt he was on the court.
