First.. Dribbling through someone legs is easy (especially in the right situations). Passing the ball between someone legs is waaayyy harder. Just my 2 cents.

I miss most of the games this weekend. Rookie of the year seems locked up. And last year Rookie of the year is Hot!! I just saw the highlights from that Knick game.

What's up with getting super excited with between the legs passes (Rubio) and dribbles ( Ginobli)? There is nothing extraordinary about them. Regular amateur ballers can pull them off. I have.
Sorry I'll go back to only getting excited about dunks.

So two things are clear here. First, Dream did not teach Dwight that when he went to his camp. Second, clearly Kwame has been to Dikembe Mutombo's camp with stuff like that.

One thing I see with that video is that Dwight can still be covered by a single man and does nothing to warrant a double team, especially if a guy is close to his size.

Definately. Back to the basket and against a decent body, Dwight isn't a threat to score at the moment.

That's quite an observation from one possession.

Even with a Howard that isn't 100% I wouldn't exactly take my chances single-teaming him too often. It's only a matter of Bryant actually getting Howard the ball so that he can find a rhythm.

I could easily see this guy leaving town after the season. Between the coaching and Kobe, I don't know if it's what Howard is looking for.

Dwight definitely leaving the "best center in the league" title up for grabs with his current play. He's going to have to take it up a few notches before the season is over.

It's not after one possession, Dwight has been like that for years.

I remember trying to edit NBA Live 10 which was in 2009, and when I looked up his numbers, he was getting shots in the single digits, and up as little as 10 shots a game, which didn't make sense initially.

I see he was turnover prone and even then he was being guarded single coverage, wasn't a great passer, and this especially before he worked out with Hakeem as well as after.

Like I said, I wouldn't single him too often no matter how limited he is in the post. Especially if or when his teammates actually mesh. You could do all sorts of things to Dwight defensively when he was with the Magic because he never had much help outside of the year he went to the finals.

He will still overpower you more times than not. Fouling him or doubling him to make him into a playmaker is a good bet. The few wins they have this year, he was instrumental in simply by his post play.

Well, the point is, this is what teams have done to him for years, playoffs included. I remember Boston had Big Baby single cover him in the playoffs and sadly enough it worked quite a bit.

I don't remember how often it was but I've seen it enough to know he hasn't improved enough to even stop teams from doing this.

That Dwight move was so predictable and robotic. He makes it look like he left Hakeem's camp with one of these:

Dwight's never going to be a great low post player, because his footwork is sub par, but the move was actually pretty good on that play. What was bad on that play is the nonchalant release at the end. It was 100% about him not respecting Kwame Brown as a player.

You see it all the time, you see highlight of a star player getting shown up by a role player because the star player is going half-assed on that play. What you don't see is the rest of the game when the role player gets treated like a rented mule when the star player decides to focus.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Howard is not a natural scorer. He thinks about it to much.
