Re: The guys you always thought would make it?

    Carl English.

Had a great year last year with Hawaii, although couldn't manage to lead them to their 3rd straight WAC title. Everything I read about him leading up to the draft was promising. He expected high 1st round, most fantasy drafts had him going early in the 2nd. He ended up getting passed over completely. He impressed many in the T-Wolves summer-league games and Indiana lured him to their camp. He ended up getting cut right before the beginning of the season after an inconsistent preseason.

I still think he could be a solid roleplayer in the league, although I guess there isn't much need for a 2 guard. I guess time will tell whether he can eventually make it in the league, although I don't see him struggling it out in a feeder league for long...

I disagree with Mike, it does matter what pick he was. He didnt pick himself no. 1 but it comes with a great deal of responsibility. People expect him to put up big numbers, it might not be fair, but it is true. And with those expectations comes extra pressure.

I thought gaines and bogans were better than hinrich, but they havent done anything (bogans 10 ppg last 3 games) and I thought pietrus could be a surprise. who knows. I the main poster meant guys who didnt live up to expectations, then sorry, my mistake.

ur right, but i agree wit you, i mustve mistyped or used bad wording. My point was its not fair but its true, and you cant get on him for not putting up what hes capable of when hes the last option on the court in the offense's half court system.
