This is setting up very nicely for the Nets...

...to make Jerry Sloan their next head coach.

Think about it: Deron Williams running his offense again, which was very successful in Utah. He's got a very good post player in Brook Lopez to man the paint/pick 'n roll as well. It would be just like D.Will/Booz back in Utah. I'd take that.

In Utah, they were a great offensive team, they just couldn't do anything on defense. In Brooklyn, he has a some good defensive players and bangers in G. Wallace, K. Bogans, K. Humphries, A. Blatche, and R. Evans.

We'll see what happens but I'm thinking that this would be a great comeback gig for Sloan. He couldn't get past the Bulls in the Finals and then they could never get over the hump against the Lakers most recently. I think when Brooklyn is right, they could definitely challenge the Knicks and the Heat for the East.

The Nets are very talented and I think Sloan would do a great job in Brooklyn if he was to be hired.

    Just a thought of mine.

Except for the whole thing about Deron pushing Sloan out of town in Utah.....
