Re: 12/31 - 1/6 Game Discussion Thread
I think Mario is a better fit in the starting lineup. He fits perfectly with that roster. You don't need him to dominate the ball, he's a very good spot up shooter and always seems to show up during big games. Obviously I don't watch Heat games so don't know what happens on Wednesday nights against teams like the Cats or Kings but I've always liked Mario.
He's a winner.
On the other hand he does some annoying things like think he's a superstar and is going to get DWade calls. Last night against the Bulls he tried Wade's pump fake into a shot and didn't get the call, 4th quarter too.
He also makes some stupid fouls like against Dallas when he fouled Dirk when LeBron clearly had him covered.
I'm happy with the rotation now though, Cole provides a spark and excellent defense off the bench, he's lightning quick too"To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment

Re: 12/31 - 1/6 Game Discussion Thread
The Lakers aren't losing because of their offense, they're losing because of their DEFENSE!
The Lakers are averaging 103 points a game with is 5th in the league, they're 10th is FG% at 45% (which they shot last year) and have the leagues leading scorer...
They're dead last in steals, they're allowing 100 points a game which is 6th worst in the league, they have no focus, no attention to detail, rotations are terrible, no ones talking on the floor, and all Laker fans here in LA can't stop talking about is offense this, offense that.
"The Princeton offense sucks... Dwight's not 100% yet.... Steve Nash missed 24 games... We have to adjust to Antoni's offense... Pau's lost it... What you saw was in old team out there... Kobe needs to start passing... I change my mind, no one on the team is scoring, Kobe needs to start shooting... We'll get it together once Nash gets back..." It's too many excuses.
This is not a good team. The pieces don't fit, the bench (outside of Jordan Hill) is atrocious, the players look like they don't want to play, the coaches (outside of Bernie Bickerstaff) don't know what the hell they're doing *Darvin Ham a 6'6 bench warming SF is the big man coach, WTFFFF* what we are witnessing from the Lakers is exactly what you see, a .500 middle of the road finesse team with 2 Hall of Famers, a 7 footer with no scoring option other than dunking and another who's being forced out.
Lakers and Laker fans need to stop making excuses, stop blaming the offense, stop blaming the coach (even though I do haha) this team hasn't played one good defensive game ALL-SEASON, you can score 105 all you want but if you give up 115, there's no point.Comment

Knicks playing like booty to start this one but I like my boy Stat's effort on defense. He looks lost at times but hes showing alot of effort at fighting for the ball on defense. But the rotations are all over the place with him.Comment

Did you watch though?
He was bumbling and fumbling when he got the ball in traffic in the post and his jumpshot has been brick city since last season.
Im chalking it up to Amare rust to keep my moral up. I did like his free throw work though!
And Melo is a beast. Some shots he hits are just not fair.Comment
