While this isn't going to last long, I'll just say that every single NBA player is extremely talented, just the better players make those players look terrible.

In general, Best HSers go to college, best college players go to pros. Again, every single player in the league is extremely talented. Hell, when I went to watch the Heat play the Thunder last year, during warmups Nazr Mohammed was hitting like 20 three's in a row. It really puts it into perspective when you see how good he is like that, then see how bad he is on the floor.

There is a reason they are NBA players and we are not.

Normally, I would agree that every NBA player is extremely talented. However, I'm better than Todd McCullough. I will feel that way until I'm dead.

I'm sorry, but I know for a fact there are people on this board that were better than Brian Scalabrine.

That man was pure *** nuggets.

Round up the worst 5 NBA players you can think of, then round up the best 5 players from OS, NBA wins by no less than 20...

Probably more like 50. We don't realize that even guys that are kind of jokes like Brian Scalabrine or Brian Cardinal could walk into basically any gym in America and absolutely dominate.

That just goes back to the point though, the NBA can make great amateur players look like trash. Kwame Brown averaged 20.1 points, 13.3 rebounds, 5.8 blocks, three assist, and 2.2 steals in high school.

Trash in comparison to you or to other NBA players?

He's actually carved a nice little niche for him over the years as being one of the best defenders at his position,

If you didn't dominate highschool....you're not in the NBA.

If you didn't dominate college level competition (Some overseas leagues count as this, but those are still grown men) then you're not in the NBA.

Thirdly, until some of you go up against NBA/College level talent for yourself you'll always believe you "might" could take them. You can't. The way they train their bodies is completely different. They live, eat, and drink basketball. Literally. The quickness they exhibit on the court can really only be appreciated in person.

The shooting ability they have is unparreled in a non-competitive environment. One, because we simply don't close out at an NBA level. Those guys close out to within inches of jumpshots (sometimes centimeters) yet you hear the announcers say it was an "open" look. Shrink that offensive player down a couple of inches and see if that isn't a block.

Most of us have fundamentally bad jumpshots (as in have zero lift). Two, most don't have the body capable of stopping an NBA player (whether agility wise or muscle wise) and don't have the handles capable of even CREATING SPACE against an NBA player (debatable). The one thing that might normally be in your advantage against others (Size and/or quickness in most cases) is completely negated by someone in the NBA.

If anyone's ever even played against a legit college player they'd know they don't stand a chance against an NBA player unless they manage to get really really hot and drain like 6 or 7 threes in a row.

I've played against Von Wafer (when he visited his cousin at Grambling). While most think he's trash, like, no. Just. No. He's not. His attitude (and EGO) is the only thing keeping him out of the league. I've played against Quincy Roberts when he was still attending here (Number 3 scorer in the entire NCAA last year). There are just certain dudes you can't guard/stop no matter how much effort you expend.

100% of the league is filled with dudes like that.

Even the centers who have no handles and no post game would still bully ball you till they're in front of the goal and then dunk it. What are you going to do? Foul? HA. I don't even think they'd feel it.
