Maybe I heard wrong, did the commentators say the Hornets have one of the highest payrolls in the NBA?

Re: 1-21/1-28 game disscussion
I could be wrong but I'm pretty they'll have cap space to sign a top player in the offseason(it could have been the next) so I don't think they'd have a top payrollSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Wow man, I forgot the Warriors have Bogut!! What a 4-5 combo that could be if he can stay healthy...Last edited by The 24th Letter; 01-23-2013, 10:55 PM.Comment

Re: 1-21/1-28 game disscussion
I was moreso talking about the Top 4-5 teams in either conference than your cellar dwellers or teams fighting for the last 1-2 spots.
Obviously, they're going to need CP3 whether he's 100% or 80%(I'd put my money on this being likely, especially at that time of the year and with the kind of injury he has)but my main concern with them is with Vinny in the playoffs especially when teams tend to shorten their rotations, the game becomes slower and coaching actually has an significant impact in a series.#RespectTheCultureComment

I agree Pack, my biggest concern would be Vinny in a situation where he's forced to make an adjustment...
If they can get Billups back that'd be great too.Comment

Re: 1-21/1-28 game disscussion
Wouldn't your main concern about the Clippers be their half-court offense execution when the game slows down??... and there won't be of these Lob City fast break highlights? Or Blake Griffin's one dimensional game, and not having a go-to move in the post? Or that they're likely to play the Spurs in the 2nd round who, come on let's be real, will have a difficult time beating San Antonio 4x, a team they didn't get 1 victory against in last years playoff. Combine that in with Vinny del Negro haha. No chance.Comment

Even watching that series last year as a Spurs fan, I said "wow, this team could be scary" with a few more pieces...they got those pieces....so like I said, if they can remain reasonably healthy, I believe in them..Comment

Re: 1-21/1-28 game disscussion
Again, we saw them grind it out against a Memphis team in a physical 7 game series...this, with their two best players on bad wheels...they flushed that "they can only play lob city ball" idea right down the toilet...

I don't know why, but this Lakers team reminds of the Lakers team that had Karl Malone and Gary Payton.Comment

Re: 1-21/1-28 game disscussion
Why is there so much talk about the game slowing down in the playoffs? The Heat just won a title without really being a half court team or being a big rebounding team either. The Heat feast on fastbreak opportunities just like the Clippers and we see where it got them.Comment

Re: 1-21/1-28 game disscussion
Im sure that's not the full story but anyway
If Dwight keeps tweaking his shoulder he's going to need surgery pretty soon.
They say it didn't seem that bad but the thing is the more he keeps going on with it like that the more it'll end up like one of Andrew Bynum's knees.
