Terry is great example of a player who gives effort on defense, but simply isn't good at playing it... -

Re: 1-21/1-28 game disscussion
Not exactly sure what you're asking me. When I said that teams slow the game down, I think this quote from you:
<table style="margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:5px;width:90%;" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tbody><tr> <td> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td width="75"> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="50"> <tbody><tr> <td width="37"></td> <td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/07.gif');width:1px;height:24px;background-position:center;" valign="middle" width="100%"> Quote:</td> <td>
</td> </tr> </tbody></table> </td> <td align="left">
</td> <td align="right" width="100%"> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td width="100%"> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/11.gif');width:100%;height:24px;" width="100%">
</td> <td align="left"></td> </tr> </tbody></table> </td> </tr> </tbody></table> </td> </tr> </tbody></table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/04.gif');width:37px;height:1px;" width="37">
</td> <td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/00.gif');width:100%;height:1px;" width="100%">
</td> <td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/05.gif');width:18px;height:1px;" width="18">
</td> </tr> <tr> <td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/04.gif');width:37px;height:1px;" width="37">
</td> <td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/00.gif');width:100%;height:1px;" width="100%"> but the truth of the matter is in the playoffs teams have time to prepare and take away different routes of scoring from your team. Lots more strategy and execution involved at that point because posessions become more important. You can't be a 25 turnover a game team then and win.
</td> <td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/05.gif');width:18px;height:1px;" width="18">
</td> </tr> <tr> <td width="37"></td> <td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/02.gif');width:100%;height:14px;" width="100%">
</td> <td width="18"></td> </tr> </tbody></table> </td> </tr> </tbody></table>
pretty much fits that description. Speaking for myself, the term "slowing the game down" isn't something I heard from some TV Analyst but it's something that I saw from my own eyes especially when comparing styles of play in the regular season and in the playoffs.
I'm not saying that teams are going to be playing Big Ten style of Basketball in the playoffs where games are constantly in high 70s-low 80s(which is usually what people confuse or correlate the term "slowing the game down" with)but at the same time, I don't think you can just bank on trying to outrun your opponent every single time up the court and this goes for any team.
Sure, you had the Heat score their buckets in Transition(they've been one of, if not the best team at doing that since their Big 3 formed so why not utilize their strength)but even throughout the playoffs they still had to adjust their style of play at times.Comment

I feel like it's been so long since I've seen Pierce with something other than a smile on his face with <10 secs to go in a Knicks-Celtics game. Feels good man.[NYK|DAL|VT]

What is with all the turnovers to close out games in the last two to three nights man? Seems like that's been very prevalent recently.Comment
