    Re: NBA Efficiency Ratings???

    Here's the efficiency rating formula from NBA.com: ((PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK) - ((FGA - FGM) + (FTA - FTM) + TO)) / G

It's actually a pretty measurement because it takes everything into account. And as for Magic's and Jordan's efficieny, I got 29.19 for Jordan and 29.10 for Magic. The higher the better so Jordan gets the slight edge.

What's interesting is to look at KG's efficiency just this season: 33.41 . If he keeps this up and wins a few titles he may be called the GOAT.

Thanks...I got 30.81 for MJ and 29.10 for Magic, so it's still pretty close.

One thing to remember about efficiency numbers. Its definetely skewed towards post-players. Guards are always going to have higher TO's and lower fg% than big men no matter what.
