NBA Efficiency Ratings???
Is this an important stat and what does it compose of?? I'm trying to compare Jordan's and Magic's stats and my friend says I need to find both of there efficiency ratings. Thanks."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Tags: None -
Re: NBA Efficiency Ratings???
Here's the efficiency rating formula from NBA.com: ((PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK) - ((FGA - FGM) + (FTA - FTM) + TO)) / G
It's actually a pretty measurement because it takes everything into account. And as for Magic's and Jordan's efficieny, I got 29.19 for Jordan and 29.10 for Magic. The higher the better so Jordan gets the slight edge.
What's interesting is to look at KG's efficiency just this season: 33.41 . If he keeps this up and wins a few titles he may be called the GOAT. -

Thanks...I got 30.81 for MJ and 29.10 for Magic, so it's still pretty close."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. Re: NBA Efficiency Ratings???
One thing to remember about efficiency numbers. Its definetely skewed towards post-players. Guards are always going to have higher TO's and lower fg% than big men no matter what.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment
