As good a player as Duncan is, how come no one criticizes his FTs?

    As for Duncan's FTs, he really just has to learn to bend his knees. He's standing straight up and just flinging the ball. No one can make free throws with any consistency if they don't bend their knees. Shooting comes from the legs!

    What about set shooters, they dont even jump. For instance like Sam Perkins.

                  I think Duncan was just being lazy the entire game vs. the 76ers, that's why he shot so poorly from the line and throughout the game.

                  I doubt Duncan will become a shaq type ft shooter. Duncan can still make free throws more often.

                        Duncan is a great player, but every great player still has his short comings. FTs are his, as with most big post men. They just aren't used to shooting like that, tho they should be. It's all in their mechanics. I think someone said it before, bend the knees, get more arch on the ball.

                        But ya know, if that is their only short commings, then I'd take it anyday for a player of TD or Shaq's caliber.

I remember this guy on my basketball team that used to launch his FTs so high. People made fun of him for it but hey he made his FTs. Duncan just flings it and hopes the ball starts to descend at the perfect time so it goes in.
