lets go John Wizards..get in there buddy
Don't get too excited. Lebron said same thing for 2010 and he backed out.

When he was first drafted, Terrence Ross was known as the best shooter in that draft. Who knows...one day Ross could be in the 3pt shootout and win that too(and be only guy in NBA history to win dunk contest and 3pt shootout)

I honestly think LeBron knows that if he competes, he's going to win. He can miss every dunk and win because of fan voting and I think that he knows that, and if this is true and he doesn't want to par take because of the unfair advantage he would have, good for him.

Same reason why Kevin Hart will continue winning those celeb game MVP's, he's the most famous person out there.

It wasn't hit fault. The arena was playing the winners music(like they did for everyone who won), so the mic was cut out.

I was hoping Kevin Hart interrupted Cannon during one of his interviews lol. Ross should have dunked over Hart instead of that kid. Would have been easier to win fans vote like that(dunking over a guy who won celebrity game mvp just based on popularity, not cause of his stats during that game).

Biggest surprise...Ross won dunk contest voting and Drake DIDN'T even tell his 10M followers to vote for Ross. Sure, Drake was there on camera during contest, but surprised Raptors never told him to tweet to his followers to vote for Ross. That was the "dirt politics" I was talking about before that I thought Raptors were gonna resort to,but didn't.

Crazy to think how Ross was directly(or indirectly) involved in 2 rumors that preceded the actual big deals Raptors made.

Before Raptors got Lowry, the 8th pick(which Raptors used to draft Ross) was rumored to be Rockets original asking price.

Before Raptors got Gay, Ross was rumored to be the Grizzlies original asking price.

Times like this, makes me even happier we didn't give in to their demands and worked out a diff deal.

A good 6th man eventually, maybe even a starter at some point.

Maybe Jason Richardson like guy? Can dunk and shoot 3 pointers. Won't be a guy making all star team, but will be real solid guy to have on NBA team.

Both guys with similar 3pt shooting % in their rookie year, both guys won dunk contest in their rookie year also. Richardson went 5th overall,Ross went 8th overall. Both were 21 in rookie year too.

20+ PPG scorer? Those are high expectations...

Richardson only got 20+ PPG in 3/12 of his seasons. On average he's around 16-17. That's playing around 32 mins as well.

Ross per 36 mins projected for about 14 points, and that's while shooting below .400! He averages 14 FGA per game, with .400 shooting that's about 11 points(not including 3's he makes). Once he improves his shooting to around .430-.440(which he likely will since this is only his rookie season), that'd be about a basket or 2 extra per game, meaning 16-18 points per 36 mins.

Congrats to Terrence Ross, I really like the kid and I could see him being a 6th man/fringe starter HOWEVER he has a very high ceiling so he can accomplish more if he sets his mind to it. Interestingly enough the Raptors had high hopes for him before the season but didn't see him performing as well as he has this year. He's been a very pleasant surprise.

That was when he was getting superstar level shot attempts (18-19 shots per game). When given the opportunity he produced.

When he went to other places he became a second option or third option for other teams (highest being 15 Shots per game, while lowest being 10), which is why his scoring dipped (but was still very good).

When he was drafted, it was cause he was a shooter, and Raptors thought they were getting Nash(meaning a PG who'd be passing to the open guys like Ross who could take/make these open shots), so nice to see he can also dunk too. He's proven he can do what he didn't think he could do, now he has to prove he can do what we were expecting him to do.
