Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Look I like Noel, but once again this guy has red flags right now. It doesn't take away from his potential in the NBA. Charlotte already have a good rim protector in Biyambo. Not saying that hes as good as Noel but he has plenty of potential. And with Patrick Ewing coming in this just may help him out a little. I can understand why you pass up on Noel, because they already have a Center brings what Noel brings defensively.I scoff at the notion of Zeller "running the floor" so well. His brother Tyler ran the floor well at UNC, yet how many times a game did he beat an opposing big man down the floor for Cleveland this past year? Most centers in the NBA run the floor well. Also, if the NCAA Tournament was any indication, Cody better learn to hit a 17-foot jump shot because he's not going to be able to score on the block against quality NBA post defenders. Very questionable pick at #4, espeically with Noel and McLemore on the board.
McLemore, im not fond of the I hear he had attitude problems. I don't think they woukd have needed another guard anyway. With Gerald Henderson whos showing signs of improving and re signing. I mean ge would basically gave to battle for a starting roll. And once againx pointing out that attitude of his. He might have ended up wanting to be traded.
I agree Zeller is a question mark, but this why he was drafted to the Cats. Hes a big with no previous injury history and doesn't seem like he will become a pain to deal with. And I still think his gsme compliments Kemba Walker, regardless of every big running the gloor very well which isnt true imo.Last edited by ClutchCity; 06-30-2013, 10:50 AM.Comment

Really good point about Noel I never thought about. If he's having these knee problems at his low weight, how is his body going to react when he adds the requisite bulk.I dont' believe in Nerlens, his knee to me is a ticking time bomb and it appears some doctors out there have similar thoughts. Not to mention he's going to have to put on some more weight which isn't going to help that problem. Also he needs to develop an offensive post game.
He could develop who knows, but i'm not a believer. Can't really judge the trade right now anyways tho, Jrue will provide instant results for NO while Noel will take time and another pick(unless of course NO is in the Top 5).

IMO nerlens is a mid-late 1st talent at best.
i dont get why all these "experts" say he has huge upside.
the guy is a 200 pound deandre jordan...Comment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Your concerns about Noel are valid. The knee is definitely a concern. I'm just not a huge Cody Zeller fan. I don't see him being anything more than a 7th or 8th guy on a playoff team. That's fine if you're drafting mid first-round but the #4 pick in the draft? With a lot of talent still on the board? Highly questionable IMHO.Look I like Noel, but once again this guy has red flags right now. It doesn't take away from his potential in the NBA. Charlotte already have a good rim protector in Biyambo. Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
I think we should just make a general prospect thread but anyway, Wiggins out jumped the vert test! I can't figure out how to post links on my iPad but the strongly backed rumor is out there. Impressive....#WashedGamerComment

If Nerlens stays healthy, he's gonna make alot of people change their minds. Clearly alot of people on here never watched Nerlens play in college.Comment

I've heard this many times but every time I search for it online it just showed the same video of him dunking.. Is there a video of him doing this? Or anything explaining exactly how you can even out jump a vert test? Most of these I've saw you could probably scoot all the way up to 20 foot or so.Comment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
He's not a good offensive player right now. He's a good passer, but doesn't have a good post move and until he develops one, most of his points will come from put backs and alley oops.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Couldn't agree more Redsrule, but his defense will translate right away to the NBA, you can't teach the things he does on the defensive end.Comment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
I agree on that point. I think he is the best overall defender I have seen play at Kentucky. Even better than Davis was. He is great at playing the passing lanes and snatching the ball away from guys driving, and not mention his shot blocking ability. He does need to gain strength though to get even more effective in the NBA. Guys will be able to push him around as of now.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals
