Re: Live 2003 special feature announced at:
yes, it does
Sounds like it wil be a far cry from the canned animations that you get in all other basketball games when you push a button.
much more control is offered. That's what makes a game better.
I'm excited. EA has my attention with this revolutionary gameplay implementation. -

Yeah, sounds pretty cool, I wish the player models looked better though. Guess we can't have everything.
I had no intentions of even considering this game but now it's on my radar.Comment

you don't have to be an Insider, I'm not, and I read it. Even with this two handed control, will NBA LIVE be able to make it against SEGA? I mean NBA LIVE's graphics and arenas look the same as last years. NBA 2k3's player models are almost dead on, other than the muscles. LIVE is back on my radar though. Wonder if SEGA has a surprise for us to make us forget out LIVEs newest feature?

Well, I guess since LIVE's "big" surprise is out, what will SEGA's big new feature be? I was excited at first, but then realized that this one feature can't win me over this year.

I've heard a few, but none really as big as the "two handed" control, I gotta admit that would be fun to play, but take a while to get used to since we really don't use the right analog stick. I mean, I've heard of SEGA's new features such as a re-worked franchise, shot adjust, and diving for the loose balls.

Re: Live 2003 special feature announced at:
i dont understand how u guys think segas player models look better than Live . WHat killed live for the last 2 yrs was the ******* AI. Last yr i said to myself if the ai doesnt push the ball on me during the fast break im not keeping the game. Guess what? they didnt correct the AI 2 yrs in a row 2k1-2k2 and thats what turn me off from last yrs game.
This yr i believe they know Live has to be tight because they loss alot of long time fans. I believe this yr will be a huge improvement just like Segas NFL improved from 2k2-2k3. Live has the best control over players moves and each player has their signature moves. Sega NBA has big men dribbling between the legs and the only big men that can do that are C. Webb and DIvac for the most part.
Those new additions mention from IGN will revolutionize NBA ball and this yr i will be buying LIve. The online feature doesnt hurt lives return as well !!!!!!!Comment

Re: Live 2003 special feature announced at:
I guess we'll have to see come October 22nd. I still think LIVE has a great control scheme coming, but they still need to work on the little things; (ie: all 29 real arenas, crowd chants, complete All-Star weekend, towel boy etc.) NBA 2k3's player model faces are almost dead on, how can you say they aren't? I like being able to recognize players other than number/name on their jersey. NBA 2k3 still has to work out the muscle tones though.

Ive heard people say this and I have no idea what they are talking about. Anytime I have tried a crossover or special dribble with someone like Shaq or Karl Malone it doesnt work.Comment

Re: Live 2003 special feature announced at:
The players can perform those moves (fancy dribbles) on occasion, however; the liklihood of a turnover is high. I wouldn't hold that against them, Live has point guards who block Shaq (each have their own quirks which need worked out). As far as player models - from the "neck down" goes to Live and from the "neck up" goes to 2K3. I guess you can't have everything in one game.Comment
