Of course I missed it, but big win for the Mavs tonight, makes the Spurs game on Thursday not so much of a must win game. Mavs are getting their **** together here down the stretch, just like I thought they would but it might be too little too late.

EDIT: AND HOLY **** CARLISLE FINALLY PLAYED RODDY

And another edit: I gotta give Carlisle some credit. People around here didn't want Mike James to get minutes and they definitely didn't want him starting, but he's given the Mavs some good stuff as of late. And they're 4-0 with him starting.

Lakers are playing well, have to hand it to them.

Can't front though they've been blessed by the schedule makers with this stretch since the All-Star break.

        Boston
        Portland
        @ Dallas
        @ Denver
        Minnesota
        Atlanta
        @ OKC
        @ New Orleans
        Toronto
        Chicago
        @ Orlando

Outside of Boston, Denver, OKC and Chicago that's a pretty sweet schedule to have and looking ahead they've got

        @ Atlanta
        @ Indiana
        Sacramento
        @ Phoenix
        Washington
        @ Golden State
        @ Minnesota
        @ Milwaukee
        @ Sacramento
        Dallas
        Memphis
        @ LAC
        New Orleans
        @ Portland
        Golden State

Pretty sweet deal to close out.

I don't think LA has been playing well. They've been winning yes, but not playing that exceptional. Dwight and Kobe on the other hand, they've been cooking individually. As a team they still look dreadful on defense and have had to come back from large deficits to bottom feeders.

As far as their schedule, it's great for March but April gets tough. Dallas, Memphis, Clippers, @Portland [they never win there], GSW, Spurs and Rockets. At least they're all home games..

On another note, Grizzlies have been performing decently since trading Gay. I read on another board they're 14-4 since the trade...

Yeah I have to agree... They looked awful against New Orleans and Toronto, and when they're wearing purple jerseys they just don't look the same. They've been squeaking by, but their defense is still lackluster, Earl Clark and MWP are in heavy slumps, Jodie Meeks and Jamison are inconsistent.. I think they're getting by based on their schedule. But Utah has a really really tough schedule so it'll be interesting to see what happens, especially when Pau comes back.

If or when Pau gets back, I honestly think they can look a lot better and fight for the 6th seed. Hopefully with him sitting out he's able to see how he can help this team. Coach Phony better not leave him out by the three point line like he's a guard.

Utah's schedule is gonna see them right out of the playoffs

Golden State and Houston also have tough schedules...

Lakers can't afford to get a 7th or 8th seed. That's like an automatic elimination. If they can muster up an effort against Memphis or the Clippers in the first round and squeak out of there, they can use that momentum to try and be a giant killer.

Most boring game in a while. That's ok, I'll take boring wins.

                Dwight all over it.

Melo playing his first game back in Denver since he was traded 2 years ago, tonight.

And in that same time frame, the Nuggets have won 13 more games than the Knicks have and have won more playoff games over that period.

Yeah he's starting to get a good feel for the game, being a lot more aggressive on the floor compared to earlier in the season. Think Monty is also becoming more comfortable with how to use to him(the LAL game included, he didnt want an injured Davis on Dwight in the 4th)

Pretty good trade for both sides. It's pretty amazing to see Denver hasn't missed a beat after trading him. Really good in the regular season and still crap in the post season, it's like nothing changed.

Lawson is the only player that was on the team when Melo was traded. I didn't even realized most of them are gone from that team.

The Melo deal resulted in Denver getting current starters Danilo Gallinari and Kosta Koufos, key reserve Wilson Chandler, bench warmer Timofey Mozgov and point guard Raymond Felton — whom the Nuggets flipped for Andre Miller and two draft picks, one that resulted in Denver getting Jordan Hamilton.

But actually 10 players on the Nuggets' roster arrived as an offshoot of the Melo deal. A trade exception allowed Denver to get Corey Brewer from Dallas. Another trade exception from the Felton deal was used, along with Nene, to get JaVale McGee from Washington. A future first-rounder acquired in the Melo deal was included in the big swap that nabbed Iguodala last summer. And Denver used a second-round pick from the Melo trade to draft 19-year-old Quincy Miller. Also, the Nuggets gained the right to swap first-round picks with the Knicks in 2016.
