RANT FROM A PACERS FAN
Ok, I can handle a loss from the Rockets, there a good team, but quality teams are supposed to respond to a loss with a victory. Instead, the Pacers lose, to the [censored] Wizards. I can only hope that this is not a repeat of last years collapse. Granted Tinslet had a bad night and Artest shouldnt be playing with his injury, but Ive seen this before. I dont like the way this is starting to shape out, I really hope the Pacers show up on Wednesday, and this is a minor bump in the road.Tags: None -

Re: RANT FROM A PACERS FAN
I wouldn't worry. Everybody goes through a little slump from time to time. The Pistons have lost 2 in a row as well after their winning streak. I have to say after this game that the Pacers took TOO many 3's! 5-22 is not good. Especially Jamaal Tinsley. He is a horrible 3 point shooter. He jacked up 6 hitting 1. Oh well. O'neal will be ready Wednesday for the Suns I'm sure. -

I know, but its so hard to sit through after last yr.
As for the 3's, Im bent. I loved the team of 2000 that loved and dies by the 3, and I dont mind taking a 3 pt shot. Even though Tinsley has improved his percentage a lot this season from deep, he sucked today, but really, like I said, Artest was hurt, the only person who showed up was HarringtonComment

Pretty simple really, Ron Artest should be sitting.
I admire his heart for playing...but there's a point that it becomes stupid.
He's shot 8 from 30 in the two losses.
Anyone can see that his hand isn't right.
Carlisle needs to sit him. This is a big test for him as a coach, because odviously Artest is saying he wants to play.Comment

Re: RANT FROM A PACERS FAN
Emotional let downs.....that's what happens with young teams. They win a big game, get big headed, then get brought back to reality. That sh#t has happened to the Pistons a lot over the last couple of years and they are just now learning how to keep a level head about things. Indiana still hasn't learned how to handle winning.
At least these are just L's that are part of Indiana's slump that they are getting out of their system. At least they didn't get a L because of the refs in a game they deserved to win like what happened to Detroit yesterday.
The other thing is...I'm starting to see the chink in Indiana's armour. Every Eastern team has chinks however untill recently, I wasn't able to figure out if Indiana had any in terms of their personal. They play great defense, can defend high or low, can score high or low, they have a rising Star in the post, they have 3 point shooters, have depth and a very good bench, and have two of the best two way players in the game.
So what's their weakness?....... It's ball movmement. If you can somehow figure out how to contain their #1 option (which is usually Jermaine O'Neal), they generally have a tough time moving it around and getting other people involved. It's why I wonder why Detroit didn't double O'Neal on every possesion. Even when he passes it out of the post, Indiana doesn't seem to rotate the ball well so defenses don't have to rotate much to keep up with it. They don't have anyone who can create or get other people involved on the perimeter and they don't get many easy baskets. I think Indiana may get worn down playing their style in the playoffs if they don't crush their first two opponents quickly.Comment

Re: RANT FROM A PACERS FAN
I do agree Artest should be sitting, and I do agree that Indy has a hard time rotating the ball, but I think this will change, or at least I hope it will, as the coaches pay mroe attention to it. JO has always had problems passing out of double teams, but the guards, at least in the past, never really seemed to ahve a problem ratating the ball, at least not that I noted
I guess this is the result of everyone on the NBA knowing the Pacers. They cant take nights off, as even horrible teams will know that they are for real, and will want to show they can hang with the top dog(s). Regardless, this should make for some fun games this season, esp since I have courside seats to the next Pacers - Wizards game here in DCComment
