The Nets are expected to announce the move at a 2 p.m. ET news conference, and assistant coach Lawrence Frank is expected to be named interim coach, the sources have told Stein.
New Jersey is scheduled to practice as usual at 1 p.m. ET today and Frank is expected to coach the session.
The Nets, an unspectacular 22-20 record with the All-Star break approaching, lead the 22-24 Celtics by two games in the Atlantic Division but have only the fifth-best record in the Eastern Conference.
On Friday, the franchise was officially sold to Brooklyn developer Bruce Ratner, who is intent on moving the Nets across the Hudson River to the borough. The rest of the NBA owners must approve the deal as well.

Wow, talk about tough love. Two straight Finals apperances and you're leading your division halfway through this season. I don't think it's Byron's fault Kidd shoot's 30% from the field with 5 turnover's a game.Comment

Just goes to really show how important Eddie Jordan was to the New Jersey Nets team. He's ceratinly more important than anyone has led to believe.
