He'll definitely come back. I think he'll resemble the Wizards Jordan quite a bit: 23-20 ppg, and miss chunks of the year with various injuries. I don't know of any player that came back from an achilles injury that fully regained their form.

I agree with both King and Heat.
While it would be great to see him come back for at least one more vintage Kobe game, ESPN would absolutely ruin it over the corse of the next week or so.Comment

Re: is kobe done?
Lebron somehow is one of the most durable players in the league. The fact that he's an abnormally large dude like that can move so fast and stay so consistent night in and night out, is a very overlooked part of his career.Comment

How when that's all anyone ever talks about?Comment

Re: is kobe done?
A) Something about his hairline/headband
B) Fourth quarter jokes
C) He should be in the dunk contest
D) He's so big and strong and fast, a freak of nature, best athlete they've ever seen. He could play football as a TE.Comment

Literally the only things people say about LeBron in no particular order is
A) Something about his hairline/headband
B) Fourth quarter jokes
C) He should be in the dunk contest
D) He's so big and strong and fast, a freak of nature, best athlete they've ever seen. He could play football as a TE.Last edited by iLLosophy; 04-13-2013, 11:07 PM.Comment

Re: is kobe done?
My bad, I worded that wrong. It's not the fact that's he's so fast/big/athletic etc, it's the fact he's so big/fast/athletic and he hasn't broken/sprained anything major yet. Especially going into his 11th season. The extremely fast and athletic players often have an injury that keeps them out for several month by this point in their career. Plus if they are carrying extra weight that increases the wear on the knees and ankles.GT: assassinK24Comment

Re: is kobe done?
He's not done yet. We all know how much of a competitor and determinator Kobe is from what we've seen from the good, the bad, and the ugly of clutch situations. Do I expect him to play top notch D (rarely happens) and pop 30 points a game? Not at all. I'm guessing that he's only going to suffer in the points department next year... then again, he is working with Tim Grover so I don't think Kobe's production will suffer too much.
Who gets the blame? I'm tempted to say D'Antoni for playing Kobe a lot this month.Comment
