The Knicks are about to throw up 30 threes when Boston doubles Melo all game with no JR to concern themselves with during the game.

Celtics just had their best half while the Knicks had their worst.
I don't know if JR changes the game that much in this half. Maybe it's not a 19 pt deficit but you can't expect to be in the game when you shoot 29% from the field and the opposing team shoots over 50%.
Before that run, the game was seven. So Boston finally took advantage of what was happening on the court.
They also just look more alive. Knicks playing like a team that doesn't need to try. They should be valuing rest for old knees.
