Yeah but an amnestied Gasol with the Lakers paying most of the cost? I'd gamble at 4-6 million a year.

Don't you have clear waivers after getting amnestied? You amnesty him (which mind you I'm not saying they will or suggesting they should) and if he clears he gets to be unrestricted right? In which case I'd bet on some bottom feeder getting him and it not even affecting the Lakers. So what if the Kings or the Bobcats claim him?

Yeah as long as that team is under the cap I believe.

          Hawks

Larry Drew - You play Al Horford only 28 minutes in a playoff game, you deserve to go

Petro - don't need em, will probably draft a center

Stevenson - he can only play every other game, there will be better options in FA

Jones - 32 and does about the same as Stevenson so same as above, better options out there.

Zaza - this makes me sad but feels likely, two straight injury plagued seasons and he is about to hit 30, with 4 picks, one of the first rounders should be a center, then maybe bring in one more with a second rounder.

Tolliver - can shoot on occasion but I didn't want him on the team from the start

Harris - Teague and Harris are way too similar, money for him could have better use on someone else.

          Questionable

Josh Smith - still no idea how this will pan out, I think I'd be ok no matter what happens

Mike Scott - will be a free agent but I think he will come back, still a project and I think he needs more time in the D league. I hope the Hawks get their own affiliate and put them in Gwinnett, doesn't make sense that Atlanta's affiliate is all the way in California.

Shelvin Mack - last time I heard he has a non-guaranteed second year, good back up and with Harris likely gone, I'd like to see him back.

Jeff and Korver will probably test free agency to give the team some flexibility but both should be back. Ivan will be back.

So that D'Antoni hiring over the Zen Master is looking really smart right now
I really don't see D12 staying in Laker Land

Shoot I totally forgot about Josh Smith

Don't know how many teams could sign him for a nice amount of cash though

                    Bucks

Coach Boylan - only a interim coach after Skiles left, Bucks were a sub 500. team with him as coach

Jennings - im pretty sure he doesnt want to be here but hes a RFA, im hoping the Bucks are tired of his play & a team offers him a massive contract he doesnt deserve & Bucks dont match, Bye BJ

Ellis- has a 11million$ player option, hope he ops out & leaves as well, undersized SG with a bad shot selection, he could bolt to a playoff team needing a SG.

Redick- a UFA we traded Tobias Harris! for, JJ isnt even on speaking terms with the Bucks coaching staff, & he only stays if John Hammond offers him the most money. I think JJ wants a big payday,

Ilyasova- although he has played well & under contract I feel that if the Bucks let the guards go , they should look to trade Ilyasova for either young players (pg,sg,sf) or a draft pick & John Henson looks like he can be our future starting PF

Udoh- he was almost traded in the Josh Smith deal, id expect him to be traded during draft (possibly)

Gooden- will the Bucks finally use the amnesty? Gooden gets like 7mil to ride the bench

Bright spots - Larry Sanders & John Henson are 2 young bigs that will continue to develop &.hopefully become a good big duo. Both need to work on offensive game

From a Bucks fan that really wants to be bad next yr. If we are going to always be a borderline playoff team, now is the time to tank, get a top 5 pick in next yrs draft & hope for Wiggins,Parker,Gordon, etc but mainly Wiggins!

Gooden really should be at the top of the list for players needing to be amnestied. He is definitely not providing $7 million worth of contributions to that Bucks team. I could see him getting amnestied and going to a contender and putting up a pretty good season though. His situation reminds me of Rashard Lewis, stuck on mediocre teams or bad teams with a bad contract in the midst of a youth movement on the team. Would do both the Bucks and the rest of a career a service with an amnesty.

                          Wiz

Randy Whitman - deserves one more year to see what he can do. Injuries to Wall and Beal late forced us to start some less desirable pieces.

Emeka- could amnesty him but I think we'll use him as trade bait to a contender.

Ariza- PLayer Option but I doubt he opts out. He lost minutes late, was hurt the majority of the year, and is just an inefficient player. I'd be happy if he opts out.

Martell Webster - was really one of our better players. Long history of injury problems and it's always scary to offer bigger deals to guys in contract years. He played well off Wall and Beal and seemed like a good charachter guy.

Our biggest issue is keeping Nene healthy and trying to get Singleton & Veasely to show any sign of promise. Right now they're huge busts.

                            Bucks:

I still can't figure out what they're going to do. I guess it starts with Monta. If he opts in, Jennings is gone. If he opts out, I think Milwaukee will match whatever offer Jennings gets (I don't think he'll get big money).

I hope we bring Redick back, but I can't decide how Milwaukee feels about him.

I think the Bucks will trade Mbah A Moute in the offseason and I think they'll amnesty Drew Gooden finally so that they have the money to bring back one of the guards and make a legitimate offer to Josh Smith.

                              Jazz -

Al Jefferson: Great player, but halting the development of Kanter and Favors.

                              Paul Millsap: Same as Jefferson.

Marvin Williams: Most likely will accept his player option to next year. Not a bad player, but definitely not a good one.

Mo Williams: Rather injury prone, time to bring in a new, younger point guard.

Jamaal Tinsley: Expiring contract, he's been a solid vet off the bench for us but he won't return

                              Earl Watson: Same as Tinsley.

Randy Foye: Great sharpshooter, now holds the Jazz record for most 3's in a season. I think he'll return.
