Every time I look at Kevin Durant's stat line for the night I'm like

The numbers he's been putting up so far in the playoffs are absurd

Obviously no Westbrook, but Conley showing out with 26, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists against 2 turnovers on 50% shooting.

Hopefully this postseason run can finally get him some of the recognition he deserves. Most underappreciated player in the league.

This game showing that by that by removing an inefficient and unnecessary player in Rudy Gay they only benefit by giving more shots to Gasol, Randolph and Conley, who shot 25/47.

I don't know if this has been brought up before in these forums because I tend to stay out of the basketball forums on OS because the ignorance far outweights the educated and unbiased opinions, but where do you guys stand on Scott Brooks?

I feel like at some point, people need to stop looking at Westbrook, Ibaka, Durant, etc. and point a finger at the coach. We give Durant a hard time for not touching the ball for extended stretches. How much of that do you guys think is on Brooks for calling plays or even having plays that don't get Durant the ball?

I mean, I've thought he wasn't the coach for this team for a while now, but I don't know where guys in here stand on that.

Not going to lie, I do think the Grizz haven't lost much with trading Gay. I had initially thought that was their death sentence. Not because Gay is such an exceptional player but because they would lose a creative perimeter player. At this point it doesn't seem like they've lost much at all.

However I would not say they are better yet. They are playing an OKC team without Westbrook.

There's only one coach who gets more criticism than Brooks on this forum and that's Del Negro.

I'd say D'Anphony, Spoelstra, Del Negro and Brooks get the most criticism here.

That because his friend who goes by the Westbrook is gone.

Can you blame Curry for having a flat jumper after playing the entire game?

Maybe, but regardless he's putting up video game numbers I am even a bit surprised.

If there's a player whose game has improved night after night, it's definitely been Mike Conley.

I said when they moved Rudy Gay that as long as they could just replace his scoring production, then they would be OK and so far, with a team effort they've done that.

I really think that trade worked out for them. I think Ed Davis should get a bit more time but the other guys on that team have stepped up.

I'm impressed with Pondexter every time I see him play, even with missing that free throw in game 1.

It's not a surprise to see this team thrive without Gay on it.

Gay was a chucker, an inefficient chucker, and those guys tend to be overvalued, especially when they have the athletic ability that Gay has.

The Grizzlies got more efficient, deeper, and cheaper by moving Gay for Prince, Davis and others.

I love the Grizzlies. They may be my favorite to reach the Finals out of the West.
