Re: The Darko era is about to begin...according to this article.

Chad Ford was on the radio today. He said he talked to Ben Wallace about two weeks ago. Ben Wallace told him that Darko was ready now and that Darko would be a Superstar in the future. He also said he didn't think it was a case of Ben saying those things only because Darko is his teammate. Ben told him that Darko does all the little things that it takes to become great in the league.

Ben thinks that Darko is ready and would help Detroit today. Chad Ford said that he's seen Darko in practice quite a few times this year and that he's improved drastically. Chad Ford also said that he hasn't changed his opinion that Darko is going to be dominant in the league after seeing him numerous times this season. A few reports over the last few weeks indicated that even Joe wants to see Darko play even though he's not going to make any demands to Larry Brown. With all those things in mind, I don't think there's any excuse for Larry Brown not to give Darko at least 10 minutes a night. With Zelly out of the lineup tonight because of suspension, Darko better play against New York. It sounds like it's no longer just a long term benefit of giving Darko playing time but that Darko might be the spark that Detroit needs to get past New Jersey or Indiana this year.

Sounds good. Can't wait to see the improvements Darko has made over the last few weeks. Won't be able to watch the game tonight to witness it, though. Argh!

Hopefully Larry Brown remembers that he's even on the bench tonight.

Well....Larry Brown forgot about Darko again. In the first half of the game against New York, with Zelly suspended, Corliss in foul trouble, and Ben needing a rest after tweaking his knee -- we got to watch Elden Campbell help New York to a huge run while he turned over the ball, played out of position on defense and allowed layups, while he was getting out fought for rebounds by guys 6 inches shorter than him, and helped rack up fouls quickly. Yea he gets his 2-5 every time he steps out on the court -- but he does so many other things badly. It was unbelievable that Darko couldn't get a minute over Ham or Campbell.

I'm just waiting to hear the breaking news that Ben Wallace snaps and hauls off and knocks Campbell out in the locker room. How can one of the hardest workers in the NBA tolerate one of the laziest? It's no wonder he's telling the media that Darko could help this team. Even if Darko is still not ready, I'm sure it has to kill Wallace to work so hard and have his teammate beside him take 50 second breaks while on the floor for every 60 seconds he's out there.

Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

It was another DNP coaches decision.
