Lakers: Miss playoffs while going 25-57.
      - Opponents average 130.3 PPG against the defensive stylings of Steve Nash, Disinterested Kobe, Nick Young, Pau Gasol and Chris Kaman (the hairiest big man combo ever)
      - Kobe and Young get into an Arenas-Crittenton situation when they realize there will only be one ball on the court at a time.
      - Pau traded to the bulls in a 3 team trade in which lakers get Varejao and Kirk Hinrich along w/ a 2014 first rounder. Bulls win championship with Rose/Gasol Pick and Roll combo.
      - Kobe wins scoring title at 40 a game on 39% shooting. Nick Young is second shooting 32% and scoring 33. Lakers avg 83 PPG.
      - Mike D'Antoni hired to Inter when Steve Nash quits basketball.

        Re: Predict the 2013 - 2014 season

        Teams
Detroit: Jennings still shoots terribly, but shoots less and passes more. Josh Smith plays like Josh Smith. Monroe is an allstar wild card. 6-8 seed.
Brooklyn: Kidd takes some time to get used to the coaching thing and they're somewhat disappointing to start, but get really good after the allstar break. Either Garnett or Pierce get hurt and don't play in the playoffs. 2-4 seed.
Cavs: Mike Brown improves them a bit; Irving and Waiters continue to get better. Bynum plays 30-45 games. Bennett slightly disappoints mainly due to playing time in a crowded frontcourt, but is still good. Lebron doesn't even meet with the Cavs during his free agency. 7-9 seed.
Toronto: Rudy Gay shoots better due to getting lasik surgery; him and DeRozan form an exciting 1-2 punch. Valenciunas gets at or over 15 and 10. 5-7 seed.
Lakers: Nash is still hurt most of the year; he might retire at the end of it. Kobe gets 25 ppg on 42% or less shooting. Pau is traded for a B-list star with assets, maybe Asik, Amare, or Varajeo(Aldridge if they get lucky). Lebron and Melo stay put. 8-11 seed.
Pelicans: Unibrow is a dark horse allstar candidate, Holiday plays well, they compete for a low seed playoff spot. 7-9 seed.

        Players
Asik: They try a twin towers experiment with Howard that doesn't work and trade him in Dec or Jan.
Pau: When Lakers trade him, he goes back to getting over 18 and 10. It was the coach's decisions that were holding him back.
Granger: Gets 12-15 ppg working his way back from a long injury. Doesn't have to be the star, but is a great piece on a contending team.
Vasquez: Leads league in assists. A team full of chuckers is beautiful for a pass-first point guard.
Westbrook: Shoots more coming back but at a worst percentage. Trade whispers pop up for someone like Rondo.
Oden: Plays 30-40 games. Is good defensively when he plays, but plays sparingly. Has a game or two where he looks like an allstar.

        Finals
        Miami vs Clippers
Clippers are solid under Doc but can't stop the Miami juggernaut. Heat in six.

Hey! We (Philly) are looking towards the future!

My prediction for my Sixers: 20-62. In my heart I want to make a playoff run but I know it won't be like that. Gonna be a long season, I should probably watch more NCAAB this year and scout for the future.

That's part of Raptors I think either people are overlooking,or I'm overrating. Rudy Gay has had vision problems(that was getting worse as time went on) for past 2 or so years now. He even admitted he had a hard time getting(or was it renewing) his license because of it. He has to wear glasses, but he refused to during games, so his vision wasn't the greatest.

I really see the 2010-2011 Rudy Gay showing up this season. The guy who averaged 20ppg,6rpg,3apg and shot .470%

Hopefully Raptors can be healthy too. Cause heading into season, they have improved vision(literally) from Gay, DeRozan basically the same, JV who gained lots of stuff in offseason(muscle, basketball knowledge, understanding of english language),Johnson as starting PF and Lowry who'll be #1PG from day 1.

That lineup of Gay,DeRozan,Lowry,JV,Johnson was only together on the court for all of 343 minutes(not sure how many games that was, but 343 minutes is likely somewhere around 10-20 games(Gay was with Raptors for just over 30 games)).

Kobe comes back in december. He averages 7 assists per game. He shoots 45% or over.

                          Lebron has a down year.

Durant is mvp of the year with 32 and 8.

Dwight misses 25 games or more due to injury.

Lakers are a better team without Dwight. Pau Gasol is Lakers's best player. He averages a double double and 5 assists per games. He is the main piece of the Horns offense. He makes the all-star team. They get the 6th seed.

The Heat finishes 2nd in the East. Wade is an issue, Allen isn't as good. They get eliminated in the 2nd round of the playoffs. They blow the team up in the summer.

Harden and Howard don't get along. They have a great start but things get tougher. They get the 5th seed. They are eliminated in the 2nd round.

The Warriors make the finals. Mark Jackson is coach of the year.

Predicting LeBron having a down year and this Lakers team being better than they were last year when they have guys like Kobe-LITE (Nick Young) and a bad coach and generally no defensive players? Ok.

I think it will be between him and Durant this year. There is a chance that Durant averages crazy number due to the lack of a true 3rd scoring option.
