    CWebb was ineligible in HS

    Linkage

Wow, CWebb gets no breaks at all. Because of the money that he took when he was a kid, CWebbs titles (3 state championship titles while he was there) are ineligible and up to the school to forfeit them. There is strong pressure to do so.

So, that means, that CWebb has no HS titles, in fact, it basically meant he never played there. His college career didn't count, and the school is still paying for it. But he still has the great memory of the timeout call they didn't have.

I feel sorry for this guy. He just can't get any breaks. I hope that one day he will eventually win a championship. Whether it's with the Kings or someone else, he's had some tough things to go thru in his bball career.

I know a girl who went to a Homecoming Dance with him when she was a Sophomore (he was a Junior).

I was going to call her today and ask, "Hey if Webb's highschool career is whiped away...do you get your virginity back?"

I understand! Do C.Webb do anything morally wrong?

Should we really feel sorry for this guy though? I agree that he's gone through some rough stuff, but much of that has been self-inflicted. Okay well, he did take the money from Ed Martin, and Mr. Martin did latch onto young kids with talent. Chalk it up to a youthful mistake...even a means of survival. However, he didn't have to lie about it, and this follows a series of wrong turns for Chris Webber.

On the surface, he doesn't appear to be a bad guy...nice smile, articulate, even the whole bit about him collecting historical artifacts is a nice story. However, he's had a series of misjudgments to say the least....the fallout with Don Nelson, getting caught with weed, the throat slash gesture in Washington and the DUI. He has been a model citizen in Sacramento (save for the occasional outburst about the Bee writing about him and Tyra) but the latest drug violation is disturbing. Seems this guy never learns. He has lived a privileged life because of basketball and I don't feel bad for him one bit.
