East
1. Indiana Pacers - 0
2. New Jersey Nets - 9
3. Detroit Pistons - 8
4. New Orleans Hornets - 14.5
5. Milwaukee Bucks - 14.5
6. New York Knicks - 19.5
7. Boston Celtics - 19.5
8. Cleveland Cavaliers - 20
---------------------------------
9. Miami Heat - 20
10. Toronto Raptors - 21
11. Philly 76ers - 21.5
Personally, I think that the Cavs will hold on for a spot. But I also think that the Celtics won't hold on, and that Miami will creep in there. So, my prediction for the standings is that the Cavs will move to the 7th seed, and the Heat will go to 8th, while the Celtics fall out of it. 1-6 are pretty much set.
So, if that is the case, then the second round will look like this:
Indiana Pacers vs Milwaukee Bucks
Detroit Pistons vs New Jersey Nets
And the East Finals will be:
Indiana Pacers vs Detroit Pistons
And I think it's a toss up right there.
West
1. Sacramento Kings - 0
2. Minnesota Timberwolves - 2.5
3. San Antonio Spurs - 5.5
4. Los Angeles Lakers - 6
5. Dallas Mavericks - 7
6. Memphis Grizzles - 7.5
7. Houston Rockets - 10
8. Denver Nuggets - 14
----------------------------
9. Utah Jazz - 15.5
10. Portland Trailblazers - 17
Ok, my prediction for the west is that 1 and 2 are set. The Lakers will move up to the 3rd seed. San Antonio will fall to the 4th. Memphis will move up to 5. Dallas will fall to 6. Houston will hold 7. And the Nuggets will fall out of the race and the Jazz will take that last playoff spot.
And if the seeding goes like that, here is how I see the second round:
Sacramento Kings vs Memphis Grizzles
Los Angeles Lakers vs Minnesota Timberwolves
And the west finals will be:
Sacramento Kings vs Los Angeles Lakers
And the winner of that series will determine who will be the NBA world Champions.
Thoughts?
Also, here are my predictions for the end of the year awards.
MVP - Kevin Garnett
COY - Jerry Sloan (if the Jazz do make the playoffs)
ROY - LeBron James
MIP - Zach Randolph
6th - Antawn Jamison
Executive - Joe Dumars
