I'am perfectly aware. I understand players not liking it but it's all fun and game in the end. He didn't go for the wide open dunk... He threw a half court shot. No big deal.

I'am sad he feels the need to say sorry to the Spurs Organisation for that... lol.

You still don't understand. When you're up by 10, you dribble out the clock and don't attempt a shot, whether it's a dunk or a half court shot. That's simple basketball 101, on any level. Whether it's pee wee basketball, the YMCA league, college ball or pro ball.

Batum did that to get a triple double, which is even more selfish.

Batum knows he messed up and he's a smart enough guy to apologize to the Spurs because it's the right thing to do. So hopefully you can be smart enough to figure out that what Batum did was indeed uncalled for.

Nobody was overreacting by the way, it's just that it's the most basic thing to know as a fan that you don't attempt a shot when you're up by that margin and you can dribble out the clock. It was a tool move, no overreacting about it.

And as far overreaction I was talking about Batum's.

It's pretty weak to go and publicly excuses himself to the whole Spurs Organisation for that. You did it, it went in, that's it.

Was it Butler last season that went for the layup in that spot? I remember people where laughing about it in here.

This lineup the Thunder are using right now is something I've hoped to see.

Jackson/Westbrook/Lamb (prefer Sefelosha)/Durant/Ibaka.

Has the potential to be a terror defensively and in transition, much like Miami with LeBron at the 4.


Edit: annnnd there goes a timeout a minute later and in come Fisher and Collison for Westbrook and Ibaka.

I think he understands, I think we all understand. That's basically something you learn in pee-wees.. We all get it. But you're blowing this a little out of proportion. It's the first week of the season in a meaningless game. This isn't any more of a big deal than KG blocking shots after a whistle in my opinion. Both is somewhat of a d*ck thing to do, but does it really matter?

Apparently he didn't get it and no, nobody's blowing anything out of proportion. Which aspect of my post do you find overblown?

All I said was it was a douche move, VNI said that's overreacting, I disagreed and explained to him why it was a douche move and why nobody was overreacting.

I don't really have a problem with what Batum did. If I were in a rec league and were playing Vince's team I'd probably do something like that too. These types of things are subjective some have a problem with it and some don't. It being right or wrong isn't absolute. It's not common but those types of things happen often. Especially in rec leagues

Oladipo is looking and playing great tonight at PG.

Nets are just ice cold tonight and are just being out worked on the Defensive end. Expected to have some issues early on so I'm not gonna panic or be too upset about their performance tonight.
