Do you guys know why they don't get the pub? Like they always say, "Defense wins championships, but offense sells tickets." If these teams could score even a little they would be getting a ton of media attention. I'm sorry, but I really don't want to watch a 82-65 game. The Indiana/Sacramento game was fun, but it ended up in the low 80's for both teams, which is kind of boring for us Sacramento fans. When the playoffs roll around most people will be excited about LA, Dallas, Minnesota and Sacramento because they can put points on the board, and they have players that people know, and love to hate. Let's be honest here. Sacramento has had the best record in the league on off for most of the season, but what do we here about out West? Will the Lakers big four flip that switch? How will Dallas mesh with all the new bodies? Will KG finally get out of the first round? Can Duncan stay healthy enough for the Spurs to repeat? WOW, look at Denver and Memphis. Oh yeah, and the Kings are doing what they do every year.

I like what Detroit has done, and have always likes Sheed. I'll pull for Indiana because of Reggie and Pollard. But I just don't see either of those teams knocking off the likes of a LA or Sacramento in a 7 game series. The Lakers and Kings can put up 85 points on there worst nights, but can you say the same for Indiana and Detroit?

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
Who led the league in attendence this year and last?

    What sells tickets?

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Please, that is the weakest argument. How big is the Palace at Auburn Hills? Uh, 20,076. How big is ARCO Arena? Uh, 17,317. You put the Kings in a 25,000 seat arena and they would still sell out every night. Show me who has the better road attendence, then we'll talk. Do you think the fans in New York are killing for Pistons tickets over Kings or Lakers tickets?

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
You are so wrong. Sacramento would not sell out a 21,000 seat arena every night because they are in the middle of a farm town.

That being said...it's your "strong argument" so you show me the road attendence numbers.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

why doesn't any team have an arena bigger than around 21k if these teams could sell out so often? I think that the Pistons having such good attendance considering that a lot of the East sucks says more than a West team having good attendance, considering they see the better West teams more often

I don't think Detroit has the offensive weapons to pull them out of a close game in the playoffs if need be.

Indy has the most balance in the East.

A 1st round matchup is Detriot vs. Miami would just be brutal on the eyes.

I honestly don't think Detroit can beat a healthy New Jersey or Indy in a 7-game series.

Honestly I didn't know that. That series looked like the Penn Relays from what I recall.

Honestly, I think Indy has the best shot to come out of the East.

Well, with the best offensive player and defensive player hurt, it should have been a run away. When the team was healthy, they swept the seasons series against the Nets last year. I honestly think the Nets would not have beat them last year at full strength.

This year the Pistons are much better, and the roles are reversed. The funny thing is, everyone will remember that the Nets were hurt, but no one remembers how banged up the Pistons were, even though Chucky Atkins started 2 of the 4 games against NJ.
