    Jameer Nelson in the NBA

In spirit of the "Okafor in the NBA" thread, I wanted to see the thoughts that you shared on Nelson in the NBA. Looking at sites like NBADraft.net shows him going as low as 14th (to Portland). I've only seen action of him of the NCAA tourney, and he definitely has the skills. How do you guys think he will do and where will he fall to?

I've seen him as high as a lottery pick and as low as a mid second round pick.

His lack of height is the biggest knock against him, along with lack of a perimeter shot and he isn't the best athelete.

He is a great on-ball defender, good ball control, and a good floor general. Another plus is he is very strong.

I'm not sure what to expect from him in the NBA. I have heard comparisons to Speedy Claxton, and I don't think he will be able to score as well as he did in college. I haven't seen too many Nelson games, just read a lot of scouting reports, and seen all of his tournament games.

I think he will be a mid-first round pick.

take on a lesser scoring role. He could be a very solid backup for any of the good teams or even a featured starter for one of the worse teams. He has great range and if he can hit the nba three and the jumpshot will be very important question. I don't think he will be an allstar , but a very solid player. I think he will stick in the league and contribute.

He can be a solid player in the NBA. Nothing great though. Which is fine, because he will have life in the league. I say he's a lottery pick still. Late lottery pick.
