Brandan Wright went 9/10 with 19 points and 6 rebounds in 19 minutes in his season debut last night. Pretty impressive start to the season, even though it was against the limping Bucks.

      Woodson actually benched JR Smith.

I'm getting a little worried, guys. The signs of the apocalypse are here.

Doesn't matter, he's cleared to play right now. Derrick Rose said he would come back once he could do certain moves as well and we saw how that worked out.

Cleared to play doesn't that just mean he can practice at full strenght again?

I don't think that means he's ready to compete at NBA level.

You get cleared for different stages of the process. Him saying fully cleared tells me he's been cleared to play in games.

They say Anthony Davis could come back some time during this current road trip for the team, would be a huge boost if it happens opposed to beginning of January.

I've always thought it depended on the player because I've seen cases across sports where you can get cleared to practice but not necessarily cleared to play in actual games, even though that would follow up eventually.

Being cleared for full practice and play are two separate steps....even with Rose, I believe he was cleared for full practice around Jan, then cleared for play in March (if i'm not mistaken). You don't just go from limited practice to playing in a game...

                    His time table makes sense...

It does depend on the player but the steps are pretty much the same for every player. It's just different timetables depending on the player and injury. Like you're coming back and getting cleared for light workouts, cleared for drills, light contact and so on.

                          Oh I agree.

Basically what I was saying is that being cleared to practice doesn't mean you're cleared to play.

Yeah, I should make clear that I'm talking about turty's post. From what he said and how he framed the post, that says fully cleared to play to me. I haven't checked his status myself. Just reacting to turty.

Yeah, they went 17-23 that game. They set an NBA Record for highest 3-Point Percentage in a game with at least 15 makes (73.9%).
