I don't know... I kind of blame last night lost on Melo. He didn't know what to do. Once he crossed the timeline. If he doesn't stop in his tracks. He could of got a better shot off.

But he also could of been confused because he was expecting a timeout to be called. Which would of fell on Woodson as a coach to take control of the situation and call a timeout.

Also, I don't like everyone sitting here and beating up Woodson on going without the timeout. Because Pop does the same thing all the time. He freaked out in game 6 of the finals when the refs stopped his team from advancing to review Allen's 3. I think it's a great tactic because the defense is never settled after such a big shot.

edit: I ask the question last night. But no one really answered me. What's with Paul George?... Since the Heat game. He's been off. I haven't seen the games myself. But I hope the league hasn't figured him out after one game.

Ralph isn't too much of a homer, but the other guy is. He consistently says outlandish things hyping up Blake and Jordan. They are the worst crew along with the Blazers and Celtics and Lakers.

It might be a great tactic when your point guard is Tony Parker and when you are coached to get the ball in quickly and push it. Clearly the Knicks weren't prepared to do that. With the Knicks personnel it makes no sense.

Also, I understand the players - or namely Melo since everyone likes to corner him - could have called time. But what about everyone else on the floor?

Beno? He inbounded. He could have called time.

JR Smith and his "We have guys with 10, 11 years experience that should know what to do" comment. Well, actually, forget JR Smith. I couldn't expect him to ever know what to do on the court.

But Woodson takes the real blame because he's the coach. He makes the final call. It's his duty to have his team prepared.

That image of the Knicks standing around confused after the scored basket, I mean you could say the Knicks have a low collective IQ, or you can point the finger at them being poorly coached and unprepared because Woodson never told them what to do.

I don't know why Melo pulled up at the half court line. Maybe he thought a time out was coming? Maybe he realized it isn't happening and suddenly had to get his jets on. At that point in time, Melo is thinking basket. It's not really his job to consider a time out.

                        It's Woodson's.

Woodson coached that final minute as if he wanted the Knicks to lose.

I mean he did need to call a timeout at some point there. Even after you blow it not calling it before the inbound, once Melo crossed half court, he should have immediately called a timeout. Clearly the players weren't doing it. Somebody on the bench somewhere in a suit should have known to call a timeout.

Knicks are a mess from top to bottom.

Just trade Chandler to the lakers already.
