      so true

boy do i dislike allstar games

from what i saw (5mins of gametime and all the highlights) Howard looked like the real deal but the announcers were saying names like Duncan and Robinson and i don't see him being THAT good.

The white dude with the buzz cut who had a couple dunks is WAY to skinny and raw to bring his limited game to the pros. With his body he needs to be able to hit some jumpers. Another guy who would of been better had he developed a true perimeter game. I give the foriegn basketball a lot of credit because players like Nowitski, Kirelinko, Peja would have been your basic hard-working-white-dude-in-the-post had they come thru the american system. Sure they would have been good ballplayers but without their highly developed perimeter games (in Peja's case that is his main element) , these guys would have struggled much more.

speaking of developed games , is it now illegal to initiate a move or take a shot from the area between the 3pt line and the rim ? Alot of the worlds top players make their living in the 5-18foot range , but a lot of the worlds top young players have a Layup/Dunk or 3pt Only mentality

Was just me or did that kid forvor or whatever get like 3 times livingstons minutes? I swear shaun played like 5 minutes in the half. I was disappointed, but you cant really base it off an allstar game. Im pretty sure he was like 0-5 with 2 assists in like 12 minutes.

As for Childress-jeffries, I think childress has a better perimeter game and better handle.

After seeing the game, Dwight Howard is the only one who should go pro, and I think even he would be benefitted by at least a year of college. Sebastian Telfair will get killed on a nightly basis in the NBA, but unfortunately for some of these kids, it's a business decision. I've been by the projects where Telfair's family lives, and hey, if you can get yourself some money and get them the heck outta there, I can't be mad...

I know its the only time most of us will see these guys play, but an allstar game really isnt the way to decide if someone could go pro. I mean in his 15 or so mins, If I didnt know better i'd say livingston was one of the worst pGs. but obviously hes not since his court vision has been compared to J Kidd and scouts feel he can run an offense better than Telfair. The point is, you cant really pass judgement yet. Last year Lebron didnt belong in the Mcdonalds game, noone was on his level. This year you saw an even playing field and no one was really impressive.

I don't like Childress' shot at all for the NBA. He might have gotten away with that little sidearm type shot in the college game but I think it will be harder to shoot that at the next level.
