Re: 1/7 - 1/13 Games Discussion Thread
I'm quite pleased with the play of the Nets since the start of the new year. Of course as a Nets fan I'm constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. I thought it did with Brook out for the year but I guess not.

Love called out Rubio and Cunningham on their demeanor after the loss....
Kevin Love had a message to deliver about some of his Minnesota Timberwolves teammates after Tuesday night's 104-103 loss to the Phoenix Suns, and it wasn't pretty.
Also, on that Wade travel, thats awful...I can see how they missed it though, doesnt make it right, but I can see it...Comment

That Wade travel, I've been begging refs to call that for years now. They never get the stationary travel call and I see it probably 10 times a game every game..
I really don't think what Blake did was an offensive foul though.. Maybe if he would have stood his ground for a charge.. But he's jumping and fouling Blake, and Blake's nutts are at at his face level.. Too far gone for a offensive foul lol.Comment

Re: 1/7 - 1/13 Games Discussion Thread
Exactly my point. First, Hump is still in the restricted circle, he has a foot in the circle the whole time. Second, he's lunging sideways at Blake with his hands up. How can anybody expect to see an offensive foul called and the guy is jumping at the offensive player sideways lol? Finally saying someone is pushing off would require you know...a push? Blake goes up and his off hand comes down, but it's not making any sort of pushing motion at all, he hits Hump's arm definitely, but that's because they met at the same time. It's not like Boozer using his off hand to actually swat dudes with position out of his way. That Wade travel, I've been begging refs to call that for years now. They never get the stationary travel call and I see it probably 10 times a game every game..

He's still a dumb player who shoots too much but I'd still rather have him over Shannon Brown any day of the week.Comment

I always wondered why Rip Hamilton didn't get called (or at least warned) for traveling when he gathered a pass behind the 3 point line. He'd always gather it in and take about 3 steps to do so. It almost felt intentional because when he came off a screen his catch & release was as fast as anyone, but that slow gather 25 feet from the rim was so casual, like 2 steps and a hop.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: 1/7 - 1/13 Games Discussion Thread
The Rip Hamilton has kinda become part of the game. I chalk it up to refs feeling possession hasn't been established. Or rather a plant foot than possession.
And that's the thing with Wade's travel. He sets a plant foot and immediately breaks it. That's the first travel. Then of course the guy breaks out some salsa afterward.

I think my point was that travel was 40 feet from the basket with no chance to score. Yea I'm not blowing my whistle for something like that. Everyone wants to complain about every little detail. When this about entertainment/business.The Rip Hamilton has kinda become part of the game. I chalk it up to refs feeling possession hasn't been established. Or rather a plant foot than possession.
