So I don't get it, was the gameplan just shoot threes all night coming into this game and don't stop no matter what? Basically they came out, made a bunch in the first half and kept chucking in the second even though they weren't falling. As an NBA team how do you allow yourself to fall into something like that? These guys were passing up open looks and in turn, turning the ball over trying to kick it out to chuck threes.

They always chuck 3s, its just that Harden was off and not getting to the bucket for a bunch of touch foul FTs and stuff.

..but man they had 73 at the half and 2 minutes into the 4th they had like 82 points, which means they scored about 10 points in the 4th 9 in the 3rd

I agree with Chuck about Dwight though. He used to be a great player, or seemed like a great player at least when he was with the Magic. It's crazy to see how much I've changed my perception of him. Last year when I thought he was underachieving, I bought into the excuse that he was just hurt. I don't know what his excuse is this year. When I watch him play I think, boy, he really isn't that great.

A back injury is debilitating more than you can see with a grimace on the face though.

Dwight has practiced with Hakeem and McHale and he does it well in practice but this is the problem.


He has no instincts. When the time comes in games to counter or adjust to NBA pressure he doesn't have the instincts to move and do those things because its not just practice with someone he's comfortable with. Probably an issue from early on and not going to college.

They need someone who can run the PnR well which is one way he did well but they have too many chuckers on the team.

I think he has a point. But i still hate that rant cuz he uses it for like 95% of the teams in the league.

About howard. Hes prime, hes not going anywhere as a player. He most likely wont get better. And tbh this houston team acts like they dont know how to react having a center like him on there team. They try to do lobs, and that failed, they tried pnr for a quick minute and seem to have aboned it. I hate to say it, but im not sure if howard will make this team as good as they thought. But its still early so i could be wrong.
