Which NBA Team has the brightest future?

There are many teams building for the future such as the Bobcats, Magic, Suns, 76ers... Etc, but which team do you think has a bright future and will contend for a title soon?

Re: Which NBA Team has the brightest future?

I really sadly think it'll be a team like Celtics,Lakers and stuff.

Both struggling this year, and watch them get a good draft pick. If season ended today, Celtics finished in 4 spot and Lakers in 7 spot. And I'm sure the "draft is rigged" rumors would heat up even more if we see Lakers end up moving into the top 3 spot or something.

Lakers only have Kobe and Nash on contract next year I believe, so those two, along with likely a top 5 pick and LOTS of free salary space....I'm sure they'll do big things.

NBA needs to find a way to allow more teams to compete. I know it's easier in NBA than any sport for an individual to make a big difference, but just sucks how NBA has only several different franchises in the past 20-30 years who've even won the NBA Finals(I believe the highest in any of the big 4 sports was like 20 or something)

Kobe and Nash on the roster looks good but i think they still need Melo or Kevin Love. They can pick up a point guard or forward such as Exum and Randle in the draft. I dont thini Nash has anymore to offer except help develop the young players and go out there and assist and shoot. Hes still onne of the top shooters in the NBA right now

I have to go with my 76ers.

MCW is a lock for ROY and looks like he can develop into a franchise PG

We basically took Tony Wroten for free from Memphis and he is turning out to be a great bench player.

The coaching staff is developing Noel very nicely for next year, adding muscle to his frame and working on his mid range jumper and post game.

We have some good assets we can either choose to keep or trade (Hawes, Thad, Turner)

A potential top 3 pick, and another potential top 10 pick in this draft.

I am happy with our direction,

              ,
This seems to happen almost every year where Memphis lets someone go and they play great elsewhere. So annoying, Memphis has always been about the bottom line though.. Making money.

The Suns. Young/prime talent and athleticism accumulating, tons of cap room, multiple draft and trade assets, a fantastic coach thus far, a young GM, and most importantly.....a vision.

Not to mention guys have unexpectedly turned into solid players. Morris brothers, Tucker, Plumlee, Frye.. I don't think any of them were expected to play as well as they have.

A few things need to fall into place, but, the Bucks may have a bright future. Let's put it this way, they should have a brighter future than the past mediocrity and below.

                    1. The sale of the team. A team not owned by Kohl might become more competitive.
                    2. The commitment to rebuilding vs putting an 8th place seed on the floor every year.
                    3. Possible the first pick in the draft to compliment the Greek Freak, Henson, Knight, and Middleton
                    4. Rebuilding a new arena.

I'm not sold on Drew and Hammond, but Hammond is a pretty good drafter.

I think no team has the brighter future than the Pelicans. They have a potential HoFer in Davis, who is only 20 years old, and is having a terrific season putting up Garnett/Duncan-esque numbers. They also have the PG of the future and a proven All-Star in Jrue Holiday, who is still very young at 23 years of age. They also have valuable players whom they can keep or use as trade assets in Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon, and Tyreke Evans.

                      Other considerations:
                      - Kings: IT, Cousins, and Gay
                      - Magic: Oladipo, Harris, and Vucevic + many trade assets (Nelson, Afflalo, Davis, etc.)
                      - Trailblazers: They have their starting 5 in tact. All they need now is to keep adding depth either via the mid-level exception or developing prospects in T-Rob, McCollum, Freeland & Leonard

                        Those damn Utah Jazz fellas.

5 former lottery picks, two 3rd overall picks, potential rookie of the year, most likely a solid pick in a loaded draft, lots of cap space to resign Hayward, Kanter, and Burke (I wouldn't be upset to see Burks go, but he's been playing really well lately).

                        Utah looks good.

IDK. I know you're a Jazz fan but every time I watch Favors play I'm left feeling unimpressed. I like Gordon as a 3rd option and Kanter is already a good young big but in the West you're going to need a solid #1 to dethrone the big boys.

Look at a team like the Suns who have a good coach, young pieces, draft picks, AND cap space. They add the right piece this offseason and they're going to be trouble.

No love for my Wiz on here. A potential All-Star back-court for years to come. Good contracts in Webster, Booker, and Seraphin. Have decisions to make this offseason with Ariza, Gortat, and Whitman. I would love to re-sign Gortat as he's the perfect for us (good rebounder, shot blocker, P&R, and can run). Ariza could be let go if Porter improves. In all honesty I would like to let Whitman go. He leaves A LOT to be desire in the X&O game.

At this point, Hayward has been our #1 option. He's been okay in the role, but again, he's had off-nights, such as that 1-17 performance and his 3-10, 8 turnover night last night. I think the 8 turnovers was due to having Burke on the bench all night in foul trouble, so he had to handle the primary ball handling duties. But still, he's averaging 17, 5, and 5 in his first year as the first option. I'll give him some time to grow into the role.

Kanter has looked really good recently. He can knock down 18 footers, score in the post, and gets a lot of offensive boards and put backs. Really excited for him.

Favors is a bit of a mystery offensively. Some nights he's got great touch around the rim and if guys like Burke and Hayward are getting to the basket, he finds himself in great position a lot right next to the basket for a dump off pass. His jumper is improving too, but so far, Kanter's the superior post scorer.

I don't feel that Trey Burke can be a #1 option for us down the road, but he can score when needed. I wouldn't worry about this team not being able to score, because they can, it's just a matter of consistency, and at times, coaching. Ty Corbin was an idiot last night and went to Hayward, who had 7 turnovers at the time, to drive to the basket.

Besides, with this loaded draft class coming up, there's always a chance to pick up a definitive #1 option offensively, and have Kanter and Hayward as the complimentary scorers.
