I'm quite fond of Chauncey Billups and I'm thankful of all he contributed to the Detroit Pistons over the years, but I don't think I'd ever choose him over Steve Nash. Billups is a bit stronger and capable of a more effective post game but otherwise, Nash seems to have the edge all around.

I've never really been one to allow championship rings to decide who was the more skilled player in a team sport. Maybe the only thing I could say is Chauncey seemed to fit with those Pistons so maybe he was the right guy for the job, whereas maybe Steve Nash somehow wouldn't have been able to fit as well for that club (maybe from a defensive perspective). But if I were just looking for the best player? I think that'd easily be Nash.
