Also I heard the lakers have had 168 games missed because of injure by there players and a few more got hurt and I heard the 168 is the most for any teams in the nba. Does anyone now if there is a place where you can see a list of where teams rank intearms of how many games players have lost by injure?

Injures are runeing the nba!
Is it just me or have we seen way way more injures the last 3 years? It seemed like last year and the year before we had like 3 times has many injures has normal and this year has been even worse. It is getting annoying when just about ever time you watch a game a star or pretty good player is out. I mean look at all the injures the lakers have had. Then the nets have no brook lopez for most of the year no denion wiliams for a lot of games. Then you have guys like mark gasol who missed a lot of games and derk rose the list just goes on and on and on and I think it is a big reason the east is so bad this year. I would say like the only teams that havnt had a lot of injures are the heat but even then wade has missed like 14 games and the pacers.

-Not everyone is fluent in English, believe it or not.
-Even some people whose main language is English have trouble with it for different reasons.
-The wise thing to do if you don't like a thread, or just want to poke fun at it, is to just not visit it or post in it. Imagine that?
This is a perfectly good thread. I wouldn't go as far as saying that the injuries are ruining the NBA, but I certainly find myself watching less games than normal. Hopefully once the playoffs roll around--more guys will be healthy.Comment

I can't stop laughing at Denion Williams, especially when you say it out loud.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Injures are runeing the nba!
It has yet to be proven that this has any real impact...and its not like the NBA makes extensive injury reports public..so we don't really have a clear picture of the injury's older guys may have suffered. We didn't even have things like MRI's available until the later 90's. What we do know, is they were retiring a lot younger than they are now.
I'm a firm believer that guys are simply just too athletic for the grind now. 82 games. 4 games in 5 nights. Maybe that was ok for a Jerry West, but not for a Rose or Westbrook. There comes a point when you're pushing a body too far.
There are the guys who are "made for it" such as LeBron or Iverson just like there are the guys who simply aren't, such as Oden/Bynum or Rose (hope he can shake this grouping). The rest of these guys are becoming more and more athletic, while putting the same daily pounding on their bodies.
In all honesty, even if we don't want to admit it, a lot of guys in the league are probably on HGH or something similar. Imagine if they weren't. Injuries would be twice as bad. (Or maybe in my internet doctor spree I'm totally wrong and that is adding to them pushing their bodies over the limit. Kinda just spitballing).
Really, really wish we could cut the number of games down. I'd be fine with taking a month off the season and cutting the games down to 50 or so.Comment

Jerry West had incredible quickness and hops. And the NBA has always had great athletes ever since the advent of the shot-clock.Comment
