Re: Iverson \'will be a Sixer in \'05\'

You know what...I finally figured what Iverson reminds me of. He's like the girlfriend that doesn't know what she wants yet she always has an attitude when you question her, but when you try getting rid of her, she goes into selective mode all of a sudden and tries hard to stay with you...

Allen's gone whether he wants it or not. Owner Ed Snider has had enough of Iverson's act finally after all the defending he had to do for him. Billy King is not a dummy. He knows he is not going to win with AI. Unfortunately for us Sixer fans, he learned the annoying trade of bullsh*tting He went on WIP telling all this so I knew this story before it came out.

Allen burned too bridges, his teammates are done with him and they love Chris Ford. Ford just might stay as the head coach of this team. But King and Snider know that in order to get a prime time coach in here, Iverson cannot stay.

Everyone says bring in Cheeks and Iverson can stay. I don't think so. Who says Mo Cheeks wants to deal with The Problem? Cheeks wasn't feeling all those misfits in Portland and look what that management did...they got rid of the main culprits.

Look, AI is gone in my eyes and it sounds like the Sixers FO is feeling that way also. Only setback is that it won't be all that easy to rid of that contract.

Tell me how the bulk of Philly fans feel really? I have a friend who lives there, and he said the black people want him to stay, and the white people want him outta there. Not race classifying or anything, that's what he told me. Do I believe it, not really, but I could only see that in people finding a way to justify wanting him to stay, not looking at what he has done.

Unfortunately, it is somewhat like that.

But anyways, i know the majority of callers to the sports radio station want him out. But those are the hardcore fans.

King said it's not his 'intention' to trade him. He never said, 'Allen WILL be here for sure'.
If a decent deal comes along he might take it.

Oh it IS his intention to trade AI. It's just going to be a struggle to get it done.

I think AI will be there next year. His injuries, attitude, and big contract are gonna be hard to move. I really can't think of anyone who would trade away their big name players for him.

That being said, I think AI will have a better year next year. The 6ers have some good pieces that will definitely play better after some extended floor time this year. Sam Dalembert played really well in the second half of the year. Willie Green has shown he can score a good amount of buckets. And Kyle Korver has some good range to open things up on the floor. If the 6ers can get everyone healthy next year, AI plays the team game, and they get a head coach that everyone respects, I think the 6ers are back in the mix.
