Re: KOBe hits an impossible shot to force OT

Havent read the last 3 pages..but i have to add this..Kobe IS the closest thing to MJ right now, if he fixes his attitude and becomes less of a ball hog, he can definetly get VERY close to MJ's level.

I set you up and you gave me what exactly what I wanted Thanks. GAME SIX 1988 Bill Laimbeer doesn't touch Lew Kareem Abdul-JAbaar Alcindor on a hook shot, yet gets called for foul and the Lakers steal what would have been a Pistons 3-peat. Yes I realize that was 16 years ago.

No he is not. There will never be another MJ. Stop trying to compare the guy to MJ and let him be who he is. He hasn't done what MJ has done to be compared to him in that manner. Put him on a sorry team like the Magic, and let him win six rings before you go there.

Not because he hit a jumper. Nick Van Exel hit plenty of game winning shots for the Lakers, so it's not like it hasn't been done before. Now don't get me wrong, Portland broke down, and he hit a nice shot at the end, but that doesn't make him MJ, or close to MJ.

Re: KOBe hits an impossible shot to force OT

Great win for the Lakers. Kobe was uber clutch. Great 3s to tie and win the game. After the last 3 at the end of 2OT, I stood up with my hands in the air and screamed. I was so happy.

But actually during the game, after the Kings lost, I was thinking about seeding and our path the the championship. I think it might have been easier if we had lost the game and then gotten the 4th seed. That way we would face the Wolves in the second round, not the Spurs.

It would have gone like this
                        Dallas
                        Minny
                        San Antonio

                        Now it looks like this
                        Houston
                        San Antonio
                        Sac or Minny

That just makes it tougher. But I guess if they want to go all the way, they gotta face the best.

In any case, great shots by Kobe. The playoffs are here. Let's rock!!
