yea...thats what i was trying to say...when i mentioned their two different roles

people try to hate on marbury cause of his past...lets get beyond that...he has a chance to carry HIS team in the playoffs...lets see if he can do it...lets not get hectic cause his squad loses one game...they shot themselves in the foot with that 3rd quarter performance...or lack their of

If you actually watched the game, you saw Jason Kidd totally dominate Marbury. Marbury seemed very reluctant to drive the ball at all. The Knick fans there were screaming for him to drive, and yet he kept refusing to try to take Kidd to the hole. When people talk about Stephon Marbury they continue to talk about potential, and about how he is so skilled. He most definately is the most skilled point guard in the league, and yet he refuses to take a leadership role and be consistant. Why is Marbury better then Sam Cassel. Sure, Marbury puts up better stats but Sam Cassel is a winner.

you do realize the knicks are just a bunch of players thrown together...they have no chemistry

b4 steph drives and drives and drives...he is looking to set up people...if other guys came to play(read:thomas, kurt)

            he would drive and score/dish

the hate is stupid at this point...he basically put a team in the playoffs that was going nowhere...good damn

fsquid, what your team lost so you have to rag on the fans and the arena? You sound like my Knick fan friend that I went to the game with. Seeing the game live, Marbury was absolutely terrible. You can see a huge difference between J Kidd and Marbury, and anybody that has the nerve to tell me that Marbury is better is nuts. I'm starting to think that Marbury IS overrated. He plays great in the regular season, but when it comes time to step it up to another level and win, he comes up short. The guy doesn't seem like a winner.

hey, I'm just pointing out that you guys didn't fill the arena, that is all. Make your own conclusions from that.

The Knicks traded their whole future away to try to get Marbury. They were 7 games under .500 before him, and 4 games above .500 after him, but those games pre-Marbury were also with the overmatched Don Chaney coaching the team. I'm not saying that Marbury is a bad player, he used to be my favorite player on the Nets, but sometimes he looks like he is lacking heart on the court.
