David Stern made a big mistake. He made the (on paper) good decision of sticking to Cable which generally has higher ratings but when it comes to playoff time there should be maximum exposure so that EVERYBODY can be exposed to the product.

You don't see housewives or old folks flicking around the dial and looking at ESPN. At least with NBC you'd potentially get more people from different demographics across the board watching the games.

That was the major reason why the NBA went to ABC/ESPN I also believe that it was because NBC's offer was a bit lower but NBC had been VERY loyal through the years.


I also miss that old theme song. The only John Tesh related that I truly love.

The first round is going to last like 17 days or something. Ridiculous. I think the TWolves-Nuggets don't play game 2 until Wednesday after Game 1 is on Saturday.
