it seems to me that in the draft now it's near impossible to find someone who will make an extreme impact on your team during his rookie season. There are a few players who probably can, but there's way too many 'projects'...European players I can understand as projects, because the competition is different there, but when all these kids come out of high school and college early it just delays their actual impact for a few years.

I dunno, Carmello and Lebron are outstanding! And Bosh is having a good year too. I think you might feel this way cause we are forced to watch a gangly lefty with bleached blonde hair play in mop up time.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

nah, it's not Darko in mop up time making me think that. Carmelo and LeBron are exceptional, I don't we'll see players like that every year. There are some players that step up, but there are also a ton of players that aren't near NBA ready, yet get drafted.

Well I dont know what you mean by Extreme but Dwayne Wade made a pretty big impact on the heat, as did Amare Stoutamire for the Suns and Yao Ming for the Rockets did last year.

This draft is full of HS thats why the Celtics three 1st rounders dont mean anything (that and Joe Johnson, Joe Forte, and Kedrick Brown)

true, there will be some good players, I guess I just don't like all the high schoolers coming out, totally dilutes the draft
