not enough said. paul was just out of his rhythm as the whole game had transformed between the time he left the game in the 2nd and when he came back. It went from a tied game to a double-digit deficit. And if you think Artest guarded him one-on-one by himself most of the game, you're kidding yourselves. that stat tells nothing at all about the defensive play of Artest, it just shows misses and makes.

OK, Im sorry. First you say Boston can beat Indiana. Then you say they wont be swept. Now you are saying Artest had nothing to do with PP bad game. No, Artest didnt guard him one on one. Indina plays team defense as well as anyone, and they are esp. committed to not letting PP put the ball on the floor. So yes, players will be around to pick up PP for when he either A. puts the ball on the floor or B. beats Artest to the hole

Keep telling yourself Artest didnt do anything to PP.. Artest didnt block that PP shot in the third, Artest wasnt draped all over him, Artest wasnt all over the passing lanes.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Dont put words in my mouth. I didnt say Artest had nothing to do with his bad game. I just said you give him too much credit. You cant tell a game from the box score, and that whole post was about how u tried to use one stat to say Artest shut him down.

On another note, It is kind of embarrassing how Carroll is shamelessly pushing for Artest's suspension

The fact is, RA shut down PP. PP had one field goal in the second half, and was faing on almost all of his shots.

AS for hte Caroll quote it is despicable, but thats all he has to do, he cant beat us, so he tries to get the DPOY suspended.

What truely gets me is that Boston will not get punished for there sahdy move. They sent a player in to start a fight, and get JO ejected, and they wont get punished for it, at least I dont think they will. I know it is probably better if the NBA does it in private, but I would like a public repromand just so [censored] like this doesnt happen. This isnt what basketball is supposed to be, it is pure trash.

you dont know he was sent in to start a fight. Thats just what the pacers assumed. Brandon Hunter has been known since summer league for his rebounding due to his physical play. If you watched the play, you could see he wasnt even trying to push down JO.

I am not gonna continue this thread, as I think this topic has been beat to death, but IMO, and I have seen the play many times, lol, I think he was in to stir [censored] up. He was right now JO, and he didnt just push him, he shoved him hard to the ground. He was trying to get him fired up. Then the fact his replacement came in and hit JO on his head on that dunk and cut his eye, I find it hard to beleive.

Either way, hopefully after games 2-7 if it goes that far, we will be able to talk about basketball after the games, not about one player and/or suspensions
