I actually don't mind Thomas making those comments. He's a pretty decent player and he did hit the floor pretty hard, so he is just frustrated. He is a total moron for coming out and saying he's going to to the same in game 4 though.

If the Knicks lose by 20 again, is there a rule to just scratch game 4 and give the Nets the win?

This is all funny to me how Tim Thomas act like he gotta pair of grapefruits. If he actually thought like this in the past, he woulda used at least half the great talent that God gave him.

It's also funny how Timmy is complaining about all this, but the team he plays on used to be the biggest bullies after the Detroit Bad Boys.

He really has to be pissed at his teammates though. They didn't do a damn thing when he hit the floor.

The Knicks tried to be physical in Game 2 and the Nets laughed it off. Tim Thomas is a joke who plays with no heart. I hope he tries to go after the Nets in Game 4, so they can shut his mouth.

Maybe they all remember the Mourning and Larry Johnson game and didn't want to risk being suspended.

Anyway, it's about time someone came out and mentioned these 'fake tough guys'. There are a heap of them. Thomas is true, they think by screaming, fouling guys hard and saying they are tough actually makes them tough. I'm not saying they aren't tough players, but I'm talking about them not being 'tough guys'. When scuffles happen there's usually just a push and shove and the players actually hope that nothing eventuates, because that way they get to sound tough and look tough without proving it. It's funny because when things go further you usually see a girlish slap and rarely a real punch. The reason I make that point, is not because I want to see real violence. Not at all. I just hate the huge amount of crap that is talked in the nba. There's no reason to even try to be a tough guy. I hate guys saying stuff without backing it up, I hate guys acting tough for the sake of it. And overall I hate anything to do with that, just play the game. It's almost embarrassing to watch and hear as a fan.

That said, Thomas is simply being a fool if he thinks he is gonna come out and start a war when he returns to the court. He isn't even a tough player to begin with and he thinks a few words and maybe a push here and there next game will change that? Fire your team up sure, play hard and with determination but if he goes out and starts a brawl similar to the old LJ vs Zo thing then he won't achieve anything... other than a few million kids being influenced by it and growing up thinking that's the tough and respectable thing to do and wanting to act tough themselves.

Guys should just play the game.

Can somebody explain how Kenyon Martin is a fake tough guy? He's got into fights with Alonzo Mourning, Karl Malone and Corey Maggette. I'm not condoning this, but they aren't weak players.
