The Deal in the offseason was Spreewell and I think Kurt Thomas (don't hold me to that) for Swift and Lorenzen Wright. Jerry West said no thanks.

The Logo made a good move.

I really like Stromile Swift, I wish he could get more minutes. He is still only 24 years old, and has a lot of growing to do, but this guy is going to be a star.

he's so damn inconsistent. Maybe Isiah can work a Penny for Swift deal that makes sense for both sides. (Read my post in the NJ-NY thread)

I don't think they would ever make that deal. The Grizzlies are solid, young, and about 10 guys deep. The only trade I see the Logo making, would be one to acquire that true superstar.

There have been rumors of Jerry West packaging up a nice collection of players doing a sign and trade deal with the Lakers for Kobe. That one has been around for about a year now.

Isn't Swift a RFA this season? He's the same draft class as Kenyon Martin. Maybe we will see him sign a nice, big deal with Atlanta and dominate next season.

Nah i don't see that. He would just get credit as being a top shotblocker and thats about it. Oneal is so much more skilled offensively then Swift , Martin runs the floor and finishes, and also has the ability to score the ball. If swift had a 12foot face-the-basket jumpshot and showed some consistency with the power finishes around the basket ...
