yeah this thread is pointless. i will say one thing though. SHAQ is annoying me. man, if the guy hit his free throws consistently, the lakers would be winning by 10+ a game.

If it weren't for Kobe, the Laker's wouldn't be even close to where they are right now. He has had some off shooting nights, but it is his intangibles that keep this team winning. He has the drive to win, and that is why he is so important to this laker team.

hey kobe is one of my favorite players in the NBA, i love how he plays the game and i love his love for the game.

about yao are u kidding me, yao can't guard shaq.

if the lakers were smart enough, they would go to shaq more and make yao defend him.

in game two shaq only had 7 shots, in game 4 he went 7-11 from the field.

that tells me two things if i'm a lakers fan, that when shaq gets the ball good things happen, and yao can't guard shaq so why don't we go to him more often.

Another thing that you are missing while just looking at the stats, is that Yao wasn't the one guarding him when he was shooting the high percentage. Yao was in early foul trouble.

I'm not saying Yao can contain Shaq, but he plays him better than most guys in the NBA. But who do the Rockets have that can contain Kobe? Another thing is Shaq has gotten in foul trouble in the games, which has kept his shot numbers down. And when Shaq is out of the game, who would you rather go to, Medvedenko, or Kobe?

I'd just like to throw in some of my comments here. You guys know I'm a Lakers fan. But I am also pretty objective to things and call them as I see them.

Here are my views on everything.

                              - Kobe is a superb talent with tons of skill.
                              - He is a black hole at times, but during the 4th quarter, there is no one else I would rather touching the ball.
                              - I think for the first 3 quarters, he should be setting up his teammates, and creating shots for himself when opportunities arise. Not just taking shot whenever he wants.

                              - Shaq's freethrow's are more of a liability than anything else right now.
                              - Shaq isn't aggressive enough.
                              - And when he is aggressive, he is too aggressive and gets too many fouls.

                              That's just a quick assessment.
