Clay, why'd you lock the thread I posted. I asked for a reason not having to actually do with the Pistons Nets really?

You asked something to effect of "Now that the Pistons are up 2-0, is the series basically over?".... How does that not it in the "Pistons vs. Nets: Second Round Thread"????

I wanted to know how people felt, because at the same time others are saying the Lakers are done because they dropped 2 games, and there was thread after thread here that they are finished. I wanted to ask about the situation since NJ is on the same skid now.

Why is it that people feel after 2 games that teams are totally out of it?

I don't think they're totally out of it, but seeing their play and the fact that I think the Pistons are a better team anyway, I don't anticipate them getting all the way back.

This isn't an excuse for the Nets losing tho. The Pistons defense is totally dominating the Nets. The only points they are scoring are off second chance points and fast breaks. I think the Nets still have the potential to make this a series by winning at home, but right now the Pistons are just a much better team.

Hey, hey, no mentioning injuries remember? Now Nets fans can see what it feels like to watch their team get trampled even though they KNOW the team would play much better if they were 100%.

I agree with both statements. Kidd is either hurt or has lost a step since last year. Since he's not that old and since it was projected that he would stay hurt through the playoffs, I'm guessing he's still hurt. That said, no one would allow the Pistons to use that excuse last year when their 2 best players were playing hurt with Chauncy at less than 50% and Ben being hobbled with a knee injury. New Jersey said Detroit cried like babies and the media said it wouldn't have made a difference in the series (even though Detroit lost the 1st 2 games by only one bucket each time). Supposedly injuries to your best offensive and defensive players were no excuse for Detroit last year.

                              Can anyone say karma?
